Rocksmith DLC 1/22 – The Strokes Pack

Continuing with Rocksmith’s two months of weekly DLC we have three songs from the indie/garage rock stylings of The Strokes!

The Strokes Song Pack – $7.99/ Steam

That makes four tracks by The Strokes available for play on Rocksmith! What are some other artists from the main setlist that could use some DLC love?

  1. I don't think it's to do with old overplayed singles. I think it's more to do with Avenged Sevenfold. Every music game that has released at least 1 song by them has had the community complaining until their whole discography is present on said game. Note that it doesn't start until the first song is announced/releasedc.

    1. Huh?
I haven't seen anyone say Avenged Sevenfold yet, the most requested seems to be Metallica and they haven't had a song announced nor released.

      1. Well, we all know why is it that we do not have any Metallica music. Metallica is probably the most "commercial" band out there, but the simple fact of releasing Guitar Hero Metallica ended up screwing us all once the music games became what Rocksmith is. That said, we will not see any Metallica, Green Day, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Van Halen or The Beatles music in Rocksmith any time soon and probably never will. In fact, I think it would be even easier for Ubisoft to get music from Pink Floyd due to the fact that the entire band (except for Nick Mason) has stated their interest in taking their music into a video game, but again, Nick has always been the one refusing the idea; He pretty much said: "If kids spent this much time playing real instruments rather than these plastic guitars I bet they would have been so damn good musicians right now" (referring to Guitar Hero/Rock Band). So my thoughts are, if Rocksmith is now out, than why doesn't Nick give it a try then? Probably Rocksmith is just the game he needs!

  2. I agree with Mike, the community of Rocksmith is too obsessed with old overplayed singles to recognize there is other music besides the cliche.

  3. the 3 other velvet revolver hits could be a great pack We MUST have like the whole catalogue for nirvana, chili peppers, soundgarden, pearl jam, STP, QotSA, blink 182, foo fighters, offspring, incubus, megadeth of the artist who we've already seen in RS

    1. yeah totally agree I see a lot of nirvana in everyones statuses. Please RS get a 5 pack of their songs in RS and chili peps and soundgarden you know they have the hits and fans!!!!

  4. Nirvana, Three Days Grace (animal I have become), Bon Jovi (livin' on a prayer), Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili peppers, The Who, Tom Petty

Basically anything made before 1995, when music became shit.

  5. In regards to this pack I was excited about Last Night, ambivalent about Reptilia and unaware of Juicebox. But after listening to Juicebox I'm going to get the whole pack.

  6. For crying out loud, I can't handle just Whipping post and Jessica… Those are 2 amazing songs, but you guys should, not should, YOU MUST put In memory of Elizabeth Reed and Dreams. (Also Mountain Jam, but that will never happen, lol)

Btw, not studio version, Live at Filmore 😀

  7. He said "What are some other artists from the main setlist that could use some DLC love?"

Definitely some more Muse, Stones, Silversun Pickups, Petty and Cream.
