Generally, I think they can be valuable for beginners. I do have two issues with them: the mini-games have too many distracting elements and are not customizable (as e.g. the Riff Repeater). When practicing technique, you should constantly pay close attention to what you re doing and have tasks tailored to your needs.

Btw I don’t know if it’s progress but last weekend I did something I never do and went to the store in the game, I just remembered someone had suggested it to someone for something and figured what the hell. I immediately noticed it lists how many tracks are on a song and figured out how to sort them to owned. Went down the list and nothing for DP yet, but the extra bass line for Cake was listed (I’m not actually sure if it was before), so I did redownloaded it and then tried to open it to check if the extra track was there, froze my system 3x’s before opening without the extra baseline on the forth, but I’ll assume that means there messing with it, never froze before opening the track, let alone in a row. If anyone wants check if they fixed it feel free. I think I’ll wait for a confirmation this time since loading takes long enough as it is one time when you have a lot of songs.

So I’m just curious I was updating an old list I have that consits of about 2/5’s of the songs I own for reasons we need not get into, but in the process of shoring up a few of the short comings of my Og version I was double checking this page to make sure I had not missed anything and found a few head scratchers so I went and double checked a few things, and of course found I was right, which gets me to my question, are there some varitions in availability of certain things in some areas or systems for any reason? I definitely do not have an alternate lead for Smoke on the Water or an alt. Tuning bass line for Short Skirt/Long Jacket. If it maters I’m in the U.S. and use a Ps3. I did see that some people have submitted a few corrections, but the rest of the stuff I own and am familair with looked right to me. Thanks for the time and help.

  Smoke on the Water (Alt. Lead) may have happened recently so it might actually have to be added through a patch update for PS3.

        So I have played through Short Skirt/Long Jacket on both Lead and Bass paths numerous times now and have not seen this alternate path show up once before or after the song. Tried setting up Nonstop Play mode exactly as Ben showed in his screenshot; the difference in songs and arrangement does not add up. I have even tried downloading all five songs from the Cake DLC pack again just to make sure something had not quietly been changed since the Remastered update. Still, nothing; the only explanation I can think of is that Ubisoft SF actually region-locked an entire instrument path for some reason, otherwise I would really like to know what’s being played at here since this matter is growing increasingly irritating.

        I am left wondering if PS3s are now generally going to be the more/most difficult of the systems for Ubisoft SF to try and look after in regards to anomalies like this one; it seemed like they were requesting more system information than usual from PS3 owners during the process of fixing the problems that the Remastered update introduced (which made sense when I went about filing a report myself and found out about all the different PS3 model numbers that needed consideration), plus they apparently were not even able to replicate the PS3’s freezing issue themselves for a fair amount of time.

I noticed that a couple of alternate arrangements are missing from the list:

Brand New – Sic Transit Gloria…Glory Fades has an alternate rhythm (Eb Standard)
The Jimi Hendrix Experience – Foxey Lady has an alternate lead (E Standard)
Rush – Headlong Flight has two alternate leads, one in Open E and another in E Standard

I confirm that they do. Eb Standard for Simple Man, and E Standard for Caught in a Mosh.

I believe "Simple Man" by Lynyrd Skynyrd and "Caught in a Mosh" by Anthrax each have an Alternate Lead as well
