Welcome to another week of Rocksmith 2014 song reveals. As Paul Cross tweeted before, this week will have some classics. Looks like we aren’t going too far back just yet, as the song revealed by facebook today, is REM’s iconic, 1991 hit, Losing My Religion.
This song is supposed to be played on a Mandolin, but Paul has assured us that they have that covered with the new and improved amp modelling in Rocksmith 2014.
I remember I first heard this song because of Beverly Hills 90210, not because of Weird Al Yankovich like everyone else, but because of an American Teen Soap Opera. I will never not associate this song with Brenda and Dylan’s break up…
Alright, so now that I’ve shown how old I am here’s the music video!
What do you think the second song to be revealed this week is? Let us know!
Next song?
Funny thing is, this is probably my least favourite song of all time but I picked it up on acoustic guitar a few years ago and it’s one of my favourite songs to play. It’ll be interesting to hear what it sounds like plugged in. Still can’t stand the song, though! Fun to play, sucks in real life.
Where’s the metal? 😀 I had to do it.
I could care less about this song, but good to see they are expanding their artists (I don’t think they were in rockband). No doubt there will be a REM DLC in 2015.
They still need some classic older tunes (50’s-70’s).
Lots of R.E.M songs in Rock Band 🙂
Guitar Hero had a few as well
Well I have to say this is the first RS 2014 song announcement I feel largely indifferent towards. It’s not that this is a bad tune but us children of the 90’s heard this song ad nauseum at the time of its release. Now It’s the End of the World as We Know It or Orange Crush would have been pretty epic, but this is just sort of … meh.
All told though the RS 2014 track list is shaping up to be fantastic!
How sad I too heard this song for the first time on 90210 🙁 well thats what happens when your the youngest of four with three sisters
Why do so many people hate R.E.M. on the Facebook announcement?
Because everyone has become haters and want it all now no matter what! It they don’t like it, then NO one should like it. That is the world we now live in.
Remember, Windows 95 sucked. 98 Sucked (I’ll never leave 95). ME sucked…(Ok it did) XP Sucks, will never leave 98. Vista Sucked (eh, I liked it.) 7 Sucked (I’ll never leave XP! and of course 8 Sucks (eh, I like it and 8.1 but they’ll never leave 7)… And so the world turns.
