Joining yesterday’s reveal of Splashh, indie week continues with the reveal of another one of your cooler older brother’s favourite bands. Alternative hard rock band EarlyRise are bringing their track “Wasteland” from 2011’s What If to the setlist of Rocksmith 2014!

You can check out the song here, and if you liked the sound of it, you can check out more here!

So tell us, are you excited about having underground acts on the game, or do you think the setlist should have stuck to big hits? Do you have any possible ideas about next week’s classic tracks? Tell us in the comments!

  1. I don’t really like the song BUT I am sure it will be fun to play…. All other releases are good to me so I guess two less interesting song doesn’t really matters. I for myself was wishing there would be “commercial punk rock” like no use for a name, lag wagon, nofx, millencolin, rancid or even blink and green day. I can’t wait to see more 90’s hits and like many others just more rock classics!!!

I just can’t wait to get my hands on this one and damn I hope songs and dlc will be transferable on release day. I love the rs1 tracks. Having them mixed with 2014 will be sick!!!!!!

See ya and again nice work on this forum!!!

    1. Should make it clear that’s “your opinion” seeing how going by actual factual information (you know, time on the billboard chart and record sales). I can count 10 “big hits” on the list so far.

      1. Obviously it is “my opinion”. I can’t very well write on behalf of anyone else’s opinion. Here’s another of “my opinions” for you. Where this game is going to lose points is with it’s extremely shit on disc set list, full of filler or mediocre songs by some big bands and others “not so big”, like this.

I find it hard to believe the songs released were the ones asked for the most, via Ubisoft website. I suspect the songs people asked for are being saved for DLC. Finally, unless there is a huge change of tact and we get some real rock classics for the next 25 songs, this is shaping up to be one of the suckiest music games that had the best potential ever released.

        “OK”?

  2. I like what I’m hearing. It’s good when music games have good songs that you know of and good songs that you haven’t heard to broaden your horizons. That said, not crazy about the last 2 announcements the arctic monkeys was the first song I didn’t care with.
