Rocksmith 2014 DLC 10/6/2015 – Blues Rock Song Pack

Hello Rocksmith fans!

This week’s DLC is three pack from modern blues musicians such as Joe Bonamassa (@JBONAMASSA), Kenny Wayne Shepherd (@KWShepherd) and a new artist from my hometown of Toronto, ON… Philip Sayce!

Blues Rock Song Pack – $7.99 / Steam

Sloe Gin may be one of the hardest songs since For The Love of God with 8 minutes of solid guitar gymnastics, Blue on Black is a great moderate-intermediate chart and previously appeared on BandFuse,  and finally Out Of My Mind is approachable but features a great tone that will be a solid addition to your growing repertoire in tone designer or session mode.

Funny enough this isn’t actually the first music game for Joe Bonamassa to be featured in! He actually appeared in a Guitar Hero DLC back in 2010!

Nifty.

  1. FINALLY!! just kidding. Still awaiting the br00tality. Lol c’mon rocksmith, lets get all the way to Drop L tuning!

  2. Do you think we have enough Alice in Chains or Megadeth? 3 Pearl Jam tracks? I would not mind some of the one offs from the early 90s either…I would love some solid STP like big bang baby…interstate love song…plush…meatplow. Meat puppets…Red Hot Chili Peppers…so very much that isn’t from the bottom of the bargain bin at target. Not that this stuff is, but the occasional song that I can sing along to is noice.

  3. I am glad we got that out of the way. I like it sort of, but now I hope they can get to something I love. I don’t even care if y’all like it…so long as I love it. I don’t know what that would be, but they had better guess right. I apologize in advance for whatever it is that I get next week at the exclusion of everyone else.

  4. I’ve got the Kenny Wayne Shepherd tab book for Trouble Is… but I will still buy Blue on Black. Its one of my favorites on that album. Joe Bonamassa is awesome and I like the third artist a lot. Its great to get introduced to new artists. This is a solid pack.

  5. None of these are songs I would have picked, but there’s plenty for me just the same in Sloe Gin and Blue on Black. The third song just grates in my ears and looks like nothing I care to play. I guess 2/3 ain’t bad.

  6. Kenny Wayne Shepard is bad ass… The other 2 song… Blahhhh… Don’t care who good there are their music is boring.

  7. I didn’t know any of these songs before today, but Blue on Black and Sloe Gin are calling my name. Can’t wait to get started. Love those lyrical solos.

  8. Glad you could post the Blue On Black video here to watch. Frakkin’ Nazis at WMG banned it on YT. What A-holes!!

  9. its like every bandfuse track we get is confirmation of why its like a dead 27 year old rock legend

  10. Blue on Black & Sloe Gin… take my money!! The third song does nothing for me, though… to each his own.

  11. I thought I was going to love this pack, but no. I don’t think I’m getting any of them. I must be too old school. I was hoping for something MUCH more Bluesy, the Kenny wayne track sounds like a country song to me, not like blues at all. I was expecting Gary Clark Jr or Jeff Healey style blues rock, not this stuff. Ah well. Can’t have it all…

    1. Also I was thinking SRV. Such a shame he doesn’t have at least an 8 pack on here. I have requested, as I know many have. Stupid licensing rubbish, I don’t understand why the rights holders would not want their music to be included in this, it’s just more money for the record company…

  12. Well. Had never heard any of these songs. So I checked them out.
    Joe Bonamassa is awesome
    Kenny Wayne Sheppard is awesome
But the Phillip Sayce song I didn’t like much at all.
Oh well. You can’t win em all. Bring on the good two songs!

  13. I don’t think I need an 8 minute song almost as difficult as for the Love of God… I’ll stick with BandFuse with the ducking for the KWS… I’ll have to check out the 3rd song

  14. At first I was like, eh, blues has never been my favorite but…all of these are phenomenal songs and Sloe Gin and Out of My Mind will be crazy fun to play. 10/10 great choices Rocksmith!

      1. They got me for blue on black for sure. I’ll have to listen to the other songs and look at the charts to see if I’m interested.
