  1. I am willing to learn any genre of music. This is an exceptional tool to learn the guitar. I bought this songpack to show my support for the perpetuation of Rocksmith and for that I will not complain. However, after playing these songs, it leaves something to be desired for sure.

  2. I’m passing this week but I have been enjoying all the dlc I already own. I Would really like to see some more classic rock soon though.

    1. I already scooped up a few different songs on sale. I thought the STP pack would be discounted, but its still full price. Maybe next sale

  3. Yeah, I may pick up “Radioactive” purely because there’s value in learning a popular song when you’re in a cover band, but as a whole, I feel this is a pretty lame pack this week.

After getting a teaser last month, I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a pack of A Perfect Circle sometime soon.

  4. Redeem us with the real”radioactive” by The firm (with real guitar). Not overproduced basic fill in. I still haven’t figured out how to suggest a song.

  5. Not for me again this week not a bad band just not what I am into, would be nice to actually get some rock back on here for download some black sabbath, Van Halen, or steel panther maybe or even some GN’R seeing as they are having a reunion, I know that is asking a bit much and I have had a lot of good bands so far and there is so many bands to choose from but hey come on why not surprise everyone with something people really want and get on some proper ROCK one can only hope to see what the rocksmith gods bestow upon us.

    1. Rocksmith can really only put out what artists allow them to use, I’m sure they are well aware of what people want, but if Van Halen says no then there’s not really a lot Rocksmith can do until they change their mind.

  6. Actually seems like a decent pack for anyone that has less than 100 hours into the game / guitar learning.
As much as I’m a bit “meh” on it myself – I will probably grab it for my wife as she has recently started learning and some easier tracks can never hurt build confidence in newer players.

  7. Im sure they were aiming for newbies with this one. This may very well be the easiest pack in the catalog. Even the guitar work in the Black Keys is a little more complex. After recently releasing so many challenging packs, I have no problem with the RS team looking to grow the base. Im sure rest of us would have much rather started out with these as oppose to reading and playing marry had a little lamb and ode to joy while the metronome knocked away. 😀

    1. Yeah these songs are easy, I got nothing against easy songs. I just think they’re kind of mediocre songs, but it’s just not my style of music. Although the last DLC pack that stood out as really difficult was Megadeth 2 so I don’t see what you mean by recently releasing challenging packs.

      1. megadeth was definitely the most challenging but there have been others that should provide a challenge to intermediate players and up. solos in 38 special, heat of the moment, sister hazel, even a couple parts of the collective soul will take time. RS goes to the movies rhythm paths were surprisingly challenging complete with Matt Montgomery’s funky chords, and I also think it would take time for the majority to hit Toro’s rapid licks in MCR at full speed. If you only feel challenged when playing the likes of Petrucci, Malmsteen, and Satch then why are you wasting time with Rocksmith? (side note: I wouldn’t mind seeing some Petrucci, Malmsteen, and more Satch in RS 🙂 )

  8. Different strokes. Some people will love it, some will hate it. I like options, and this is another option.
My daughter has played this pack non stop since I purchased it yesterday. I prefer classic rock, but I’m impressed with the dlc catalog as a whole.

  9. Well now reading the complaints, maybe I get it…I don’t watch TV or go to retail locations so…I guess I haven’t been soaked in the merchandising of this music. I avoid the commercial world as much as possible…no MTV no TV etc. I guess I get it now.

  10. I like it. It isn’t any easier than slapping out power chords for anything else. Good band, good music. Does griping about simplicity make people feel more expert? I personally didn’t find this music any easier than anything else. I don’t even care though…I bought this CD without ever hearing these guys back in 2013 and I liked it. I still do…and collective soul and stp were no tougher than this. Megadeth and Avenged Sevenfold and Anthrax and the heavier soloing bands are elevated in difficulty a bunch but really everything else seems about the same.

    1. I repectfully disagree with some what you said. My exact complaint with this pack (for me) is the lack of any real techniques; Not much for bends, power chords, open chords, harmonics, appegios, etc.. just my opinion as someone who enjoys lead arrangements.

also, in what way is this just as challenging as stp and collective soul? In no way is that true. Much more technique required in both packs.

        1. your right, had just worked a 10hour shift before posting. I’m pretty sure I meant to write tremelo there 😳 . Thanks elliot, I still think my point is valid despite that part 😉

  11. I like the band, but I’m beyond unimpressed with their guitarist. I know it’s not guitar driven music but even his layering could be a lot better in my opinion, specifically in chorus of Radioactive. Might pick it up later this week to please my girlfriend (we don’t get much dlc she’s into), to explore the tones, and to solo over; depends what next week brings I guess.

Good job including everyone rocksmith. The people who think all the dlc should be stuff they wanna buy are deluded en mass.

  12. I didn’t care for them to begin with. Then between radio and tv commercials when you heard the Radioactive song every 10 minutes…. I really can’t stand it.
I actually tried to give it a chance and watched the RS vid but those charts are terribly boring.
Not sure what they were thinking when deciding to do this as dlc.

  13. This week was a pass for me. Still having a blast learning the collective soul songs. Bring on Rush pack 2! lol but seriously

  14. We’ve all been force fed this garbage in random retail locations. Semantic blockage. Maybe it has subliminal messages to be a good consumer, and consume more? Good news this week considering I have a dlc addiction that cost me thousands.

  15. While I am up for more eletronic music on RS, it’s just not what I’m looking for. Guess I’ll have to wait for my Portishead pack.
