Tegan and Sarah are great! It would be a fun play along. My kids might like it… more than they’d like Gary Moore etc… my son asked why so much of the dlc is sooooo old. I love some of the old tunes, and yes I loved ZZ Top El Diablo just as much as any other pickle eating beer drinker, but it is more interesting playing new tunes for my kids… tho my 10yo still loves angel of death.
this is actually the perfect way to end 2 months of terribly weak dlc, some pop shite no one asked for

Another low for Rocksmith.
Initially, I had thought their names to be derivative of Doctor Who, as he had two companions by that name. Their age would render that impossible. That said, hard pass this week. It’s been a serious DLC dry spell for me, but I keep checking…
I like this group, and I’m glad they’ve finally made it to the game. Walking With a Ghost is a great tune, and I hope that its in the pack.
The Quins are fantastic songwriters and usually work with some pretty talented studio musicians. Wasn’t the bassist from AFI on a few of their albums? AFI songs are usually fun to play on bass, so I’m expecting some equally fun basslines in this pack.

I’m just glad they are putting out dlc but to be honest most of it is shrug music. This is not music that inspires you to pick up a guitar and soar with the gods of rock.

Northshore would be a good pick, fun simple guitar part.
I’m kind of curious what the arrangements could look like for I Was a Fool – not a guitar song but I’ve had some pleasant surprises with guitar charts for keyboard songs in the past.
I wouldn’t mind the White Stripes version of Walking with a Ghost either.
Definitely a pass here. I’m in agreement that there is just way too much good guitar oriented music out there to justify this stuff. There are plenty of artists you already have that could really use more song packs. I don’t have to list them. Get back to hard rock and metal and bluegrass (yes bluegrass). It’s been a real letdown on the dlc this year. Oh, btw, still not appreciating your choice of putting the radio friendly versions of songs. I’m over 18 and perfectly capable of making the decision to hear a cuss word on my own. You want to impress me, make both versions available and let us make our own decisions on what is offensive or not. I already have a mommy and daddy for that crap, I don’t need anyone else help with my morality.

it isn’t rocksmith choice whether they get censored or uncensored songs, it’s what every the label gives them. It take some much time to get a response or not at all, it would be ridiculous that when you finally get approval to then say the tracks provided isn’t cool enough.
Man in the box used to be the album version. There are several others.
I disagree that the DLC has been a letdown this year, it started off very good, but unfortunately Rocksmith seems to be falling back into bad habits
I agree, there are artists who could use more packs, but there are also artists who could use a first pack or even a song and I actually am going to mention them
Artists that currently don’t have a pack or any representation: AC/DC, The Sex Pistols, Gary Moore, Y&T, Scorpions, Molly Hatchet, Yngwie Malmsteen, Manowar, Robert Cray, Magic Sam, The Yardbirds, John Mayall, Paul Butterfield, UFO, Helloween, Fates Warning, Montrose, Blue Murder, Loudness etc.
Artists that do have representation in Rocksmith: Tegan and Sara, Interpol, Lady Gaga, The Cardigans, Kelly Clarkson, 3 Doors Down, Imagine Dragons, Incubus, Staind, Third Eye Blind, Coldplay, Avril Lavigne, Sheryl Crow, New Found Glory, Thrice
Moral of the story, Rocksmith needs to get their priorities right

I also do not like their political approach, just with the single con, they raised funds for lgbtq girls and women, which seems kind of odd in my understanding of the lgbtq movement. So as a straight guy, not hating every man on earth, I am propably not even remotely the audience

The problem for me, is that they collect strictly for girls and women of the lgbtq movement, which is against its principles of equality etc. and discriminates gay man, boys , transgender (maybe they can count as girls in some case).
The history continues, the punished start punishing and the roles change.

This is just sad at this point. DLC this year has been so bad. I’d rather they just take a break all together, stop wasting money on licensing this garbage.

Elliot, being neutral host or playing devils advocate is one thing but refuting or passively mocking people every time they negatively critique a pack is some bullshit, especially when the packs are this bad. i’ve watched you do it for years. get off ubisofts dick or payroll, you’re on one if not both

TBF the DLC choices have been less than stellar. 5 seconds of summer song pack just one nadir I could mention. The real kicker is there’s so much great guitar music out there that, even accounting for licensing issues it really shouldn’t be too hard to get something epic out on a weekly basis.

Never heard of them until today. Having carried out a small investigation, I have learnt that their music really isn’t my cup of tea so I’ll be saving my hard earned money for yet another week.
That said, I’d buy Everything is AWESOME!! in the hopes of impressing my kid who is lego obsessed.
