Song Speculation: Variety Pack III brings Joe Satriani back to Rocksmith

Hello Rocksmith fans!

August is almost upon us and we already know one of the first tracks coming next week!

Let’s check out @DanAmrich and @UbiParadise’s clue!

Mystic_Dan figured out the phrase to unlock the GIF which lead us too..

Yes, it’s a @NickiMinaj four pack ne- nope, can’t do it. Listen closely to what’s being sampled at 1:25… Sound familiar?

I’ll help

That’s some mighty fine shaker-ing!

Next week’s DLC is a four pack including @chickenfootjoe’s Grammy nominated, Always With Me, Always With You (Surfing With The Alien 1987). Good luck mastering this one! (halsb in 2 weeks).

What else could be in the Variety Pack? Well, one song will be revealed over the weekend but for now we have the inside scoop that one of them is #MOARMETAL.

The following is speculation

Can it be Ghost time?

If they charted the banjo we’d all be screwed

not giving up hope

Are you excited to surf with the alien again? What songs do you think will be included in Variety Pack III? Let us know!

  1. 5 Minutes Alone by Pantera confirmed. Awesome “money riff” as Phil would call it. Love the pre-verse/breakdown riff. Great addition to the library from my fav Pantera album.

  2. Speaking of popular bass players, and Satriani, How bout a future pack from super group Chickenfoot. Sammy Hagar, Joe Satriani, Michael Anthony, Chad Smith throwing down some bluesy rock south of the border. My choices would be: Oh Yeah, My Kinda Girl, Soap on a rope.

  3. I’d take some Mumford & Sons but a whole pack would be better. Although i have already taught myself Tompkin Square Park, Wilder Mind and Just Smoke off the second album. Excellent bass lines and much easier now they’ve gone electric.

    1. Well i should imagine the best guitarists can riff on anything. But if you listen to that track you can hear the guitar leaving plenty of space for the kick ass bass line to shine. Really depends on the vibe of the song.

      1. Dude, that bass line most definetly does not kick ass. Did you see the video? The bass player looks bored. This is a great song for guitar, bass….not so much.

    1. For the sake of your readers and adoring fans would you please at least try to make your unceasing and unwarranted criticism of ubisoft humorous and/or original so that the reading of your comments isn’t a waste of time entirely? Thanks in advance! 😀

      1. Sorry u fuckers got no balls to call out crap.. All ya do is kiss ass.. Don’t like the truth skip my posts.. 85% of this room are pussies!

        1. Yep, just keep living in that world of yours where the only reason a bunch of guitar music enthusiasts would say anything positive about Joe Satriani is because they want to suck up to Ubisoft.

        2. Well at least that’s a little more enthusiastic even if its still not funny or original. Please keep trying dude. \m/

        3. If I gift you this DLC will you please post a video of you playing it? Put your guitar where your mouth is. Unless you’re afraid and fall in that 85% you speak of. Offer still stands.

        4. PJ-10, you are entitled to your opinion AND I enjoy reading your posts- keep doing what you’re doing bubala.

        5. You must be related to Donald Trump (I mean Drumpf) to have such thin skin. Perhaps, if you can’t take the heat, then get the frack out of the fire. Trying to type (talk) tough while hiding behind some fake name like an anonymous wuss. Fucking wimp.

  4. Already got shot down on Maggot Brain.

For the sake of variety, how about

Cliffs of Rock City – Brad Paisley
How Blue Can You Get – B.B. King
    Your Love – The Outfield

  5. Alright I think I’ve got this one
    Dokken- Alone Again
    Butthole Surfers – Pepper
The Outlaws – Green Grass and High Tides
Joe Satriani – Always With You, Always With Me
Anyway way it’s still a variety pack so anything is up for grabs.

  6. YESSS!!!!!!! just out of freaking nowhere. I cant began to tell y’all how freaking happy I am about getting AWYAWM. Ive been working on this one for awhile. That said, dont let it scare you off just because its Satriani song. Its almost half the speed of Satch Boogie, and much of the song is obtainable with some practice. The first chord in the rhythm arpeggio is a bit of a finger stretcher, but is also achievable with some reps. I hope we get the other layers as alt tracks. Whooo hooo!!! Cant wait

  7. Thats a beautiful song. Good hit for the guitarists. I’m hoping for something as tasty as that for bass on one of the other four. 🙂

  8. Some Ghost would be awesome, but I hope they would get their own pack some day (but I thought the same about Satriani and Steve Vai). Maybe we’re getting Bruce Dickinson’s The Tower. If its speculation, I’m going with a wishlist request.
