Here we are, the final stretch of 2017! We have three clues this month from @DanAmrich and @UbisoftStudioSF to think about so let’s get into it!

Welp, thanks to this clue we can pretty much all but confirm two of the four remaining songs in the Steve Miller Band pack.
a long overdue encore for one of the first artists to join the Rocksmith library
So this could be a lot of things, but is this clue about DLC? Or is it about the on-disc artists from Rocksmith (2011)?

I really want to believe it’s Tool with Prison Sex. I want to believe they are not cruel enough to say “prison” knowing that Tool is hugely requested and that Prison Sex would be the first thing to pop into many people’s mind. I want to believe that they would say “jailhouse” instead of “prison” if it was Elvis. I want to believe their Christmas gift to players this year will be Tool — finally.
I want to believe.
Unfortunately it’s not Tool, sorry to get your hopes up but maybe one day it will happen 🙂
FYI: We have no idea what the DLC is, it will be a surprise to us as well!
Thanks for letting me down now instead of allowing me to cling onto something that I already know won’t happen 🙂 Tool in the list of my favorite bands, but I wish they would relax with their anti-digital stance. I understand they are free to make the choice, though.
Guess I’ll keep my fingers crossed for Cash now.

Well that prison hint made me think of Alcatrazz at first, but that’s more likely one of the proposition you’ve put. I like them all btw, so just wait and see what Santa Rocksmith brings to us before Christmas 🙂

Ok, elephant in the room. First off, (without considering how amazing the rest of the year has been) I’m sad to see we have another year without some new P-Funk. (Maggot Brain, Mothership Connection, AquaBoogie, etc) If we were to see the long overdue return of RHCP, that’s good enough for me. (especially if Around the World is included)
For another long awaited return, I would also like to see the Stones. Been hoping for Gimmie Shelter. Then of course another major return that has for whatever reason been missed, ERIC CLAPTON. Could Ubisoft somehow have found success there?
As for going to jail, the first artist I thought about was Elvis; however, I’d much rather see B.B. King Live From the Cook County Jail. I’ve always wanted to learn How Blue Can You Get. (ooh, imagine that B.B. and Eric in the same month. That would be epic.) Yeah, I’m dreaming big, but how crafty would that be to end 2017 Riding with the King?
If we end the year with RHCP, KOL, A7X, FOB and SOAD songs I would die of joy. The Silversun Pickups song in Rocksmith was awesome. Although my new baritone is asking me for low tunings songs!
The run/fly clue made me think “Jet Airliner”. I’m hoping Nirvana for the encore, but the way the speculation was worded made me think maybe Clapton finally allowed the imports from the original . “Jailhouse..” and Folsom..” were exactly where my mind went on the prison clue.
KoL and Elvis, nope. Most of the others – Shut up and take my money.
Mike Oldfield has Shadow on the Wall, very prison-ish. Hope for Moonlight Shadow and Tubular Bells!
I’d buy an Oldfield pack in an instant – but sadly, I can’t see that being the track here.
