The Darkness, Finger Eleven, and Lamb of God headed to Rocksmith!

Rocksmith has lined up another variety week for July 10th, revealing two songs so far! Let’s take a look at the hints:

Besides matching up the riff with their smash hit “I Believe In A Thing Called Love” Wiki reveals that Justin Hawkins was known for writing and singing the “Schlomp” jingle for Ikea.

Onto a very Wednesday appropriate hint:

Randall Darby is Paralyzer which is also the name of the hit song by Canadian alternative rock group, Finger Eleven! The humorous notion of revealing a Canadian artist on July 4th, is not lost on me Ubisoft!

Wait! There’s one more song left to be revealed and we have a few cryptic hints from Paul Cross (@CrossieRS) regarding it:

UPDATE:

Silent Mafia traditions? You mean like Omerta? Which also happens to be a Lamb of God song off their album Ashes of the Wake. So now that we have the band what’s the song? Well Paul’s hint was a good one because look at the YouTube views for Redneck off their 2006 album Sacrament.

THIS IS A MOTHAF#@!N’ INVITAAATION THE ONLY SONG YOU WILL EVER NEEEED

Metal enough for you?

  1. They could have at least picked a good LoG song. What the hell happened to Laid to Rest or Ruin or 11th Hour??

Redneck sounds like more classic metal. We already have some Priest… can we get some good modern metal? There are many GREAT bands they could nab on the cheap.

  2. Or, the third song "might" be walk by Pantera. Or it "might" be One by Metallica. We could do this all day, but it won't change the fact that they won't give a hint about it until tomorrow…

  3. Never even heard of finger 11 band but just looked the song up and its sounds like a really good song to jam too. I never heard my chemical romance before either but I like that dlc pack. And of course thing called love is a classic that I'll buy right away

  4. The way Ubisoft/Rocksmith hyped this DLC is that the first song would be glam rock, the second, hard rock, and the third heavy. Finger 11 Paralyzer is not a hard rock song. It is a a pop rock song with an undeniable flavor of bubblegum. I enjoy playing Rocksmith but they are losing cred by saying crap like this. They obviously have some clueless individuals working for them if they consider Finger 11 Paralyzerto be hard rock.

    1. Finger 11 (dudes) is a joke band, right? I thought they were just another attempt for record labels to infuse cheap musicianship into the dance hall community. Whats next? KC and the Sunshine Band?

      1. First of all you should do some research into who Finger Eleven are outside their radio hits. Also I think the definition of "hard rock" has significantly shifted over the years. We could have easily ended up with a Nickelback song.
