Speculation: Epic DLC from Faith No More coming to Rocksmith 2014

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Finally the legendary voice of Mike Patton will grace the Rocksmith 2014 library! Earlier today @DanAmrich posted the following hint.

Britain (2) + U+0076 (1) + Uno (1) + LG CU915 (2) + Pandora NYSE (1)

Be sensitive when you make your case to Steve Wilhite. It’s in the usual place.

It’s a LOGO code!

YASSSS!

It’s a FIVE pack of @FaithNoMore as well! That’s never happened in music games as Rock Band and Guitar Hero DLC got Epic, We Care A Lot  came as Rock Band DLC, then Midlife Crisis on Rock Band 3, followed by From Out of Nowhere as Rock Band 3 DLC, and finally BandFuse’s inclusion of Epic on their on-disc setlist.

Faith No More is a band that you probably know because of Epic since it was their biggest hit, or perhaps We Care A Lot because of Dirty Jobs, or even a few other songs because of Grand Theft Auto, but despite their lack of chart topping hits they are an incredibly solid band that just released a new album after 18 years.

Here are the songs I hope we get…

Great riff in this song and an excellent solo, bass line is pretty solid as well.

I actually haven’t thought too much about this song due to the really cheesy chorus but after seeing it live it really clicked at how involved instrumentally the song is. Be aggressive!

One of their heavier songs from the most excellent King For A Day, Fool For A Lifetime album. Great riff and chorus in this one.

One for the bassists, repetitive but awesome. HERE’S HOW TO ORDER

@UbisoftStudioSF, if you put this song in next week’s DLC I will fly to San Francisco (eventually) and nod in approval vigorously.

Of course these are all fantasy picks and the chance we end up with Midlife Crisis, Epic, We Care A Lot, Easy, and Superhero seem pretty likely, but hey it’s nice to dream.

What are YOU hoping to see next week for the @FaithNoMore Song Pack? Let us know.

Thank you!

Note for SCEE Users

I also have some bummer news: Due to a hiccup, the FNM pack will be delayed in SCEE-served territories, so it will not be available next week. It will be out Tuesday the 28th on Xbox and Steam worldwide, as well as North American PlayStation platforms. In EU territories, I’m hoping it’s just a week delay but I do not have confirmation on a revised date yet. When I do I will let you know.

  1. Yes….MmmHmm, that’s interesting but tell me; Do you often sing and whistle just for fun?

Yes their version of Easy is great but if they’re going to do a cover let it be War Pigs so we can indirectly get some Sabbath in there…

I can help…I can help you…I CAN HELP YOU HELP YOURSELF!!!

  2. Zombie Eaters would be the dark horse of the entire pack, probably won’t beat out Epic but a man can dream.

  3. I listen again all those video plus 2 3 other and all i canthink is old good charlotte might bé god comparate to them or the song pissing on a panda , i wish i was born in 67 having my teenage during end of 70 and middle 80 thats à dream that will never come true

    1. I rather get more Incubus or would die for RHCP pack. FNM is so hard to get into its like they make music to piss off people on purpose

      1. They will all come in time. No reason we can’t enjoy this in the meantime. Gotta love shred riffs that aren’t over double bass or blast beats!

    2. Shredding….??? Strumming yes but schredding no another 90-00 band that i cant feel something , im waiting for a pack that might fits me 4 all of you enjoy this?? At least theres is no tween waves for rocksmith if yes ill be considering to never buy anymore

  4. Not one of my favorites, but this band has a couple songs I like. We’ll see what tomorrow brings.

  5. My wallet is open for this just kind of Disappointed that its only a 5-Pack….Assuming it will be the best known and one off the new album..

    Epic
    Falling to Pieces
Last Cup of Sorrow or Ashes to Ashes
    Midlife Crisis
    Superhero

Would love songs like A Small Victory, Crack Hitler, The Morning After, Everything’s Ruined, Land of Sunshine, RV, Stripsearch, Helpless and a dozen others and I didn’t even list any songs off King for a Day or Sol Invictus…Pun intended, this is an ‘Epic’ band so thank you Rocksmith for making this happen and already looking forward to a 2nd DLC pack lol

  6. I think I’ll have to make that trip to San Fran with you if we get Zombie Eaters. Oh man, that would be righteous.

How about Surprise! You’re Dead! guess what…it never ends.

PS I think I was at that Tool/Tomahawk show. Copps Colliseum in Hamilton if I remember. Only caught last 2-3 Tomahawk songs but do remember them getting booed, yep

Anyways I’m hella stoked for some Faith No More action. Keep it coming, Ubisoft!

  7. Strangely I wanted a mr. bungle pack since that headache track was kinda inspired by them. This is a wait and see pack for me hoping they don’t do the songs that’s been on every other music game

  8. I remember Faith No More opening here for Metallica and Guns N Roses in 1990. They were sadly booed continuously throughout their entire set. I was really young but thought to myself of the crowd, what a bunch of dicks.

I will probably add Epic to my Steam wishlist. I would much prefer RHCP though. Hopefully soon.

  9. Congrats to all the Faith No More fans out there on the pack this week. This seems like one of those highly requested bands whom one wouldn’t expect to actually get it’s own pack. While I’m not a fan, I know they have a big following. Congrats again.

On a side/unrelated note: I’d like to say thank you to everyone on here who informed me on RS1 a few posts back. Just got it this week and there are quite a few songs from there that I’d been waiting to see on RS2014. (I really hate the old Riff Repeater on RS1, glad it changed for 2014)

Mahalo, Ko-map-sumnida, Gracias, and Khop Khun Khraabp.

  10. Anything but We Care a Lot pls…my guess would be:

    Epic
    Midlife Crisis
Easy (Dan hinted at one of the songs being a cover)
    Evidence
    Superhero

I could also see Be Aggressive or From Out of Nowhere being in the pack.

    1. Agreed, We care a Lot is fun to hear or play on stage but maybe not so much to play alone. Same for Digging the Grave actually. I want the real thing, I mean The Real Thing!

  11. This is an even harder pass for me than Bullet for My Valentine or All That Remains. I’m glad that people are excited, but I absolutely cannot stand them. I have never liked “Epic,” nor do I understand what people like about it. And yes, I have listened to other songs/albums, but they just don’t do anything for me but make me cringe.

I hope that those of you excited for this pack buy it and enjoy the hell out of it. I will take this next week to practice things like Lizzy and Skynyrd. Peace.

    1. I have to agree unfortunately. The vocals in Epic make me want to start smashing things with a baseball bat.

I’m still holding out for STP

    2. I don’t think it’s a great song per se, but I used to play it alot with a few friends back when the original Rock Band came out. So I’m getting it for the memories.

      1. I totally understand, as several songs from Rock Band and Guitar Hero give me the same feeling of nostalgia. However, then I paid for the whole game and experience and didn’t care what songs we played really. If I was playing this with my buddies, it may be the same, but I play almost always on my own to practice, play songs I like, and blow off some steam. I get it though; just not for me this time.

  12. Oh snap! Please give me a small victory, from out of nowhere, zombie eaters, last cup of sorrow, and the absolute please please please song The Real Thing! Can’t stop from jumping around like a damn fool when that tune comes on!

  13. One clue as to way this never happened before in rock game history…. This band sucks!!… One hit wonder and that song even blew!

  14. This pack may be a pass for me. Never liked this band much, depends on the songs though. I would like to at least see: Digging the Grave, Midlife Crisis, and Be Aggressive. 🙂

  15. I think it should be pretty obvious that Epic would be in the pack.
    Epic
    Midlife Crisis
    Digging the Grave
    Everything’s Ruined
    Be Agressive

  16. Great band! I’ve seen them live once, it was an outstanding performance.
That was in 1992, I’m getting old.

  17. Whoa! Been listening to FNM a lot the last few days, and just 2 days ago I was wondering why we haven’t gotten any DLC at all… The universe was trying to tell me something…

    1. This song is the jam. People seriously don’t understand if they haven’t given it a chance.

  18. Not super familiar with FNM, but I have heard a bit of Mr. Bungle (which I might request at some point). I’ll check out the pack when it comes out.

  19. motherfucker. just so a song is on the setlist that we can’t type on the forums. d*** dale, john lee h*****, and faith no more’s motherf*****.
