So, today has been a good day, Rocksmith fans!

It all started with Dan’s hint:

If you’re wondering what that means, let’s let Dan explain to us what it meant.

Yes, my personal favourite grunge album is FINALLY being represented in Rocksmith as Toadies bring their classic Possum Kingdom to the game! Now, you may be wondering why I’ve blitzed through the hint this week. Or, more likely, you’ve read the title of the article and know exactly where I’m going.

If you’re wondering why, when you go to the PSN Store, you’re not seeing these songs under Rocksmith 2014, that’s because they’re not actually up yet. BUT, here’s what you can do:

So, now we have a much better idea of what the Regal Singles Song Pack will look like when it comes out on Tuesday:

Are you excited for these songs? What are you hoping to see as the fifth song in the pack? Let us know in the comments!

Update: The fifth song is @TheSubways Rock & Roll Queen

  1. Well I like all of it just fine. Stevie Wonder is cool, but that song is a horn song…maybe they can add a brass mic to the game…that would be fun. The toadies were fun, and I am glad to see queensryche…but something more energetic would have been good. Honestly though…all that metal last month…when we really needed more megadeth and a7x. I ramble…and I stop!

  2. Boy, if only they’d include The King Will Come by Wishbone Ash. I’ve requested them and forced many a friend to do the same, but I kind of doubt that’ll make much a difference.

Beautiful guitar work on that track, too– even if you’ve never heard of them, it’s worth a trip to YouTube to see how awesome it’d be to play in Rocksmith.

    1. Oh, shit, and like mentioned below, King Crimson would have been a stellar surprise. Although their likelihood is only slightly higher than Wishbone Ash, I’d imagine.

And I’ll echo the disappointment here in the lack of Sultans of Swing. It’s been too long since they were hinted by Paul.

  3. Very impressed by the addition of Stevie Wonder. Could have a pack just on him, I Wish, Superstition, and Higher Ground.

  4. The toadies were ok back in the 90’s,but we’re a little late to the party…just like groups like candlebox and 7mary3 who were also good during that era and rode the coat tails of the big 4 powerhouse grunge bands 🙂

  5. Really like the song selection. A lot of people from what I’ve seen wanted “Hail to the King” from A7X. And while I love a lot of different types of metal, A7X was one band I couldn’t get into. But I’m really excited for “Silent Lucidity”. Been trying to learn it for years. 🙂

  6. Queensryche will probably be my only choice… If your gonna put anymore Queen songs in let it be .. We will rock you!!!

  7. So we get a Queen song again, I think another band should of got a repeat as we had a Queen song not long ago.

  8. Rock and roll queen by subways rounds out the pack.
Makes sense too since only one artist this week has had music in rocksmith (like Dan hinted)

    So it’s
    Rock and roll queen -subways
    Silent lucidity -queensryche
    Sir Duke -Stevie Wonder
Another one bites the dust -queen
    Possum kingdom -the toadies

Shame. When i hear about this pack i had such high hopes; hail to the king, bb king, royal blood.. plenty of missed opportunities :/ anyways i havent heard all these songs but itll prob be a skip for me

    1. I was surprised Royal Blood wasn’t in here. I don’t think they’re big enough to warrant a full pack, especially with only one record behind them, so I’m kinda thinking that this is our Royal Blood hopes dashed for the time being, at least until they release a second record. It’s a shame, but I kinda get it.

  9. How about King Of The Night Time World by KISS? You know, to compensate for the shit in the three pack we got last year.

  10. Travel my way
Take the highway that’s the best
Get your kicks on Route 66…..????

it aint my band but i surely buy it if shes there ( route 66 )

    1. and wow…! aint the best Queensrÿche song we could get , there s so much more better song from them i cant believe it ( maybe its because rocksmith player aint able to play those song…….didnt train enough so only able to play fking chords and tell them they play guitar like quarter gods ( i hope they know they still needs to pratice at least 25 more years to reach semi poor demi goods levels …………………………………….. and be able to play today by smashing pumpkins ( by the ways it aint hard if you pass a couple of hours and didnt make over 98% there s a problem or you pretend to be playing guitar for fame and chick or dick??…had to include everyone on this) my dream is that I…I would choose the f word fucking ( i know…) song man this game would be fuckin awesome for lead , bass and chords and if only wussy play this game then i should go back on guitar pro or songsterr or magazine and have fun as i had , seriously what s nesxt king of leon i would be fckin g sick if it happen and the bad word are all worthy ( 1st this band worth more shit than madonna’s band ) , but even if i m saying this it won t ever change i ll have to wait 5-6 month for a couple of song while the other got song each weeks or 2-3. Its just a game i know, and beside id love to have i want it all by queens or anything than another bites the dust , make basssmith it you wanna or drumsmith … but as i remember the game name IS Rockfckin Smith with a Fckin Guitar on the Fcking cover , so i anticipate fcking guitar not anything else .

i wish i could be happy after writting this but i still feel sad , will my sadneess go away one day by having 2 or 3 artist i like with 50 % of song from them that i like…., ah yes im living in a dream , i wish i wasnt lazy as dumbfucking monkey and create that game in 2006-2007 , it will have been a real guitar game and i would have put aside bass and add drum ( would have find a way with some mic would have been high price but worth the shit out of it, and each instrument given 5-10 packs each weeks with artist that i like and take care of request each 3 or 4-5 month ( cause nowaday aint that much ppl recognize real lead or real chords or bass nor drum )

      1. i think i have have some love about bashing for wrtting 30 mins of shit and thinking it tooks 5 mins or less and having less weight on the heart i hope im gonna sleep well

          1. Not about heavyness i think i should re do piano so i can have all The lead or melodic withchords at The same time , its just if you really listen most of old song have way more melodic ways then today song over 90 ‘ that are more about beat or image and i think they have enough money to do 4 guitar track with 2 only about bass and in the 4 guitar one you take 2 more lead and 2 more rythmic and when you do a band ( à good one like jimmy you just raise those number) if they’ve shown the number im pretty sure this could all work

  11. Very happy about Stevie Wonder, hope to see more ! Queen is always welcome too of course ! So far a great pack, waiting for the fifth, but I’ll take it for sure. :o)

  12. Toadies song one of my favs from 90s. Why do.people call them grunge I don’t get it? Also silent lucidity is a sweet mellow song from that era

    1. Yeah, that threw me for a loop. Not all 90s guitar oriented rock is grundge.

Along those lines, how about some Cracker!

      1. That Toadies song sounds very grungy to my ears.. 🙂
but actually, I always had troubles to categorize a band as grunge, aside from Nirvana.. And IMO, that toadies song has a little Nirvana/grungy taste..
And that’s fine for me, cause I like it and that’s probably the only song i will buy this week.

        1. There is a grunge influence but the term grunge at least to me referred more to bands from the Seattle area since it covered a wide range of bands. I think the term itself is probably as useful as alternative music which can be applied to most bands in rocksmith

  13. Well, I knew there was gonna be some Queen in there! Another One Bites the Dust is an ok choice, I guess
Sir Duke should have amazing bass too so yay 😀
