    1. this is like the music equivalent of mortar for bricks it doesn’t stand out but other bands need it and build upon it

  1. 38 special is a childhood favorite so it was already an insta-buy. Whats even better is how enjoyable the pack plays. Big thanks to RS team. Aside from the Crue, January’s dlc’s have been much more exciting than December for me.

  2. i didnt know there was a new dlc until i started up rocksmith.as soon as i saw it i went into the shop and bought it . now we need some red rider (lunatic fringe), and i will be cool until spring

  3. Please tell me that I’m not The only one who thinks DLC has been pretty eh recently. I’m not saying The DLC is bad and I totally understand that some bands Just don’t want to appear in games. It’s Just that The packs (at least for me) have been very Eh recently.

    1. There’s been a lot of ups and down. October to December of 2015 was rather weak compared to the same time frame in 2014.

It’s all a matter of taste. While I respect all of the songs released recently and actually like a few of them, I’ve only felt the need to purchase the Crue, STP and .38 Special since late summer 2015.

I think the DLC being “very Eh” is just a matter of taste. We all enjoy a wide array of styles.

I’m sure your day will come.

  4. That about it for 38 special.. Maybe 1 or 2 more popular songs. At least it’s good classic rock and roll and not the hipster indie shit they play on all these stations 😉

          1. If you wanna run around in skinny jeans and your hair in a man bun that’s up to you brah…why do you think the most popular songs being asked for are from 15yrs and beyond?? Today’s music is a bunch of whiny shit with no meaning sung by guys who’s mom didn’t pay attention to their art projects.

                1. Well golly! You must know me better than me myself! Just pleeease don’t tell the fellow rocksmithians about my “Super Secret crush on singers diary!” I’m going to be suuuuuuper embarassed! Tee-hee! XD XD

But seriously, Pj. Where the hell did you get the idea that, just because I didn’t agree with you on something means that I’m a stupid hipster who wears a man bun and skinny jeans. What the hell, Pj.

                  1. theres is no fire without smoke , here in quebec , canada , laurentides i know two station outside radio satellitte ( when i discover that it was orgasmic like you wouldnt know epic song all the time on 3 to 7 station only in my kind of rock and metal ) to get back i got 97.7 and 99.9 and for maybe 5 to 8 they change drastically the music being played …. yes you can hear stairway to heaven , crazy train , hot for teacher , but thats just those from these artist but they played 4-8 different song from king of leon ( i hate this , there is no word..they cant call them muscian) , mumford .. other thing like that band that got less than 5 years and that blows dogs for quarters like nonsense . in one hours ten years ago i could have listen to 75% to 100 % or what being played but now its pretty like 0% to 10-15% if im lucky.i discover some song i like , but never falling in love like the first time i listen to crazy train , or quiet riot or metallica fade to black album …one of the best feeling listening to a song that you really love or like at the first hearing that you didnt know from the artist or from a new one. that feeling for me almost only happen with band before 90-91 at high pourcentage

  5. Not my cup of tea particularly, however the charts looked fun so I bought to pack.

What can I say, they are fun to play!! Real fun. 🙂

The game is littered with bands I don’t particularly like, but love to play!!!

    Boston come to mind. 🙂

    1. This ^ is the approach everyone could benefit from. I do not get the whining over dlc’s with quality guitar work. I don’t casually listen to the vast majority of music in my RS Library, but I enjoy playing most of it. This is about learning or sharpening your guitar chops. Often, there are songs you enjoy listening to and have challenging guitar parts. However, if you only limit yourself to these songs your severely limiting your options.

      1. Well put.

I’d like to add that Rocksmith (along with this site) can help open your eyes/ears to new music. Although they’re a popular band, I’d never heard the Black Keys until RS. Got some DLC and I love their sound. There’s no way, my kids would have heard Roger Miller or Bob Dylan. They like playing these songs now.

Most (not all but most) of the whining you read is from individuals who think that their beloved style of music is the only thing that everyone likes.

Look at how much whining took place when Skillet was uploaded. Imagine how much more would take place if the DLC we get happens to be more straight-forward gospel, or some hip hop, reggae, jazz, or pop.

Got a lot of tunnel vision out there.

        1. tunnel vision? excuse me but i bought a game called rocksmith not gospelsmith. anyway skillet was and is boring ( to me at least and that’s to listen to and to play)
but hey kanye west on rocksmith? if that’s what you want…

  6. Not for me. I’ve not heard of them before, and it doesn’t do anything for me. I have to say, that album cover there, that’s one of the worst album covers I have ever seen! Truly terrible!

  7. I would just like to say Thank You. We still need Molly Hatchet flirtin with disaster and Ted nugent catscratch fever and white buffalo. Also Blackfoot Train Train and Highway song all of which I have already requested using the song request feature. Once again Thank you! I enjoyed all three but Rockin’ into the Night is still a favorite. Keep them coming.

  8. I dunno. Kinda takes me back to my tween days when I thought Chicago was cool. Really sounds like them too. Looks like some fun guitar work, but if I’m gonna spend my hard-earned dollars, I want to love the song too. Have fun all that do.

  9. yo…R.R. it’s 2016…. 😯

Nice pack that be fun and easy to learn and have one Rockin Into the Night in no time…!

Nice job on the song selections R.S.

  10. I know these songs from the radio but never really registered the band name or knew of their connection to Lynyrd Skynyrd. They kind of remind of Golden Earring but a little less raspy in the vocals. Sounds good!

  11. They’ve had some nice packs recently – Crue, Megadeth, this.

    good job Ubi!

Still waiting for a the giant Ozzy/Black Sabbath, but they might be asking for too much money.

  12. Working day bas ended , direction home and insta buy ! ( cuiy and hol make a good start ) ( maybe ill see Randy Rhoads on quiet Riot of Ozzy ( for quiet its a dream that Will never be fullfilled i know
