Rocksmith+ adds content from Jack White & The White Stripes

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Kind of old news, but now that Ubisoft has released an article we might as well cover it.

If this content seems familiar, you’d be right! There are technically only two new songs being added from Jack White as the rest are legacy content from RS2014 DLC, RS1’s On Disc Setlist, and yes even Rocksmith 2014 (Remastered).

We also noticed that they decided to chart a bass part for Icky Thump which previously was missing one (community charters such as Gabivad filled in the rest of the legacy pack [Blue Orchid / You Don’t Know What Love Is (You Just Do as You’re Told).

This is also a good opportunity for someone to chart the synth / circuit bending solo in Icky Thump *taps foot*

The Rhythm arrangement of Seven Nation Army was also absent but thankfully sswires took care of that as well.

Those RS+ tones really shine on this content!

The two new Jack White songs of course both come from the 2022 release Fear of the Dawn.

That’s not all that Rocksmith+ revealed that week though…

Hi, everyone!

The official Rocksmith+ Notetracking team has heard your concerns about spending time on arrangements only for them to be replaced by official, in-house created arrangements days later. In order to help avoid that occurrence, the Notetracking team is making their planned arrangements available in a list format.

Please note the following:

  1. These are plans only–some of these songs may not be added in the following song drop and others may be added.
  2. These only include songs that are already available as chord charts. We will not share arrangements-in-progress for songs that aren’t yet available in the RS+ library.

We’ll keep this updated on a (likely) monthly basis.

I for one am looking forward to this chart…

even if I have to VPN to play it

Be sure to enter! If we get to 400 RTs we will add another code!

  1. Wow, although understandable, it’s kinda sad to not see as many comments as in the days of Rocksmith 2014/Remastered. As I haven’t jumped on board with R+ yet (considering it within the next few months) I figured I’d ask some basic questions to 1)Add comments for the month, and 2) actually get answers to this before possibly going in on the new platform.

So, using Santana as an example (for the 1st three questions), when I look on the Ubisoft website I see various things that I’m unclear on.

    1) For “No One to Depend On” (prior to clicking on the the song) I see the Rocksmith R under guitar and again under Bass. What is the significance of the R and the significance of the human silhouette?

    2) After clicking on the song I see a “Chord Chart” “Lead Guitar”, “Bass” and “Bass Chart”. I’m guessing the 2 charts will just display the chords of the song as the song plays, and the other 2 parts show the single notes begin played by Carlos and David respectively. (not sure which guitar part will be here as both Carlos Santana and Neil Schon are on the song. The same can be said for other songs such as Taboo). Under the “Creator” heading I see R+ Team and ARCHI, sometimes just Rocksmith+ Team and sometimes just ARCHI. Who or what is ARCHI?

    3) Also, what does it mean that a song/arrangement is “Verified”? Who is verifying?

    4) Jump to “54-46 Was My Number” by Toots and the Maytals. I see there is an arrangement listed under “Community Arrangements”. Is that to say a regular user uploaded their version of the song? I see the same thing in Weird Al’s “The Saga Begins”.

    5) Moving over to Luther Vandross “So Amazing” neither the R nor the human silhouette is highlighted. The lyrics is unchecked as well. So what is available for the song?

    6) Lastly, what’s the process to request songs now? For example, it seems strange to me that we still don’t have “Magic Man” Heart, “Runnin’ down a Dream” Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, “Guerilla Radio” RATM, more Brad Paisley, or any John Mayer, OutKast, or RHCP.

Just curious what all of this means.

    1. 1) R = Arrangement by Rocksmith+ / Human Silhouette is a chart made by a community member
      2) ARCHI is explained here https://www.ubisoft.com/en-ca/game/rocksmith/plus/news-updates/49EG2FpjSvQSH2CXb0ySk3/rocksmith-dev-diary-march-2022-chord-charts-archi | R+ Team and ARCHI is a Verified Chord Arrangement
      3) Rocksmith+’s Note Tracking team reaches out to some community members that have charted songs with feedback to implement and then verifies their chart
      4) Correct
      5) Only Chord arrangements have been generated for that song
      6) There is no request feature, I think they have all the data they need from 2011-2020
