Yes, that’s right METALLICA is now available worldwide, that’s one less band you have to VPN to play!

The only song actually not available worldwide is Whiskey in the Jar (not available in Japan). Did we mention that Rocksmith+ is available in Japan also now?

FEATURE IMPROVEMENTS / NEW FEATURES

Challenges

• Daily challenges are now available.
  • You will get three daily challenges every day.
  • These challenges are instrument agnostic.
  • If you don’t like a specific challenge, you can re-roll one challenge a day.
• The onboarding challenges, and daily challenges have been moved into the new Challenge Portal in the Home tab of the Hub.
• The onboarding challenges have been extended. There are now two new steps added to the onboarding challenges across all instruments.

More motivation to play, nice!

Hub

• Four new portals have been added to the Home tab.
  • Progress Portal
    • This portal will show you how many songs you have played, how many notes you have hit today, and the last time you played the game, and how many times you’ve logged in this week.
    • Clicking on this will take you to the Player Dashboard page to look at your stats some more.
      • Challenge Portal This portal is where you can manage both your daily challenges, and your onboarding challenges.
  • Lesson Portal
    • This portal will show you what next lesson you should play. It takes the last lesson you played into account and suggests the next lesson.
    • This functionality existed already in the Learn tab but has been expanded to let us continue suggesting lessons after you hit the end of a lesson queue, or the end of a lesson page.
  • Song Portal
    • This portal will suggest songs for you to play, featuring some handpicked easy arrangements, or based on your previously played songs.
    • At the beginning, we will ask you to play a few songs to help you get accustomed to both your instrument and Rocksmith+. If you are an intermediate or advanced player, you may play these for some laid back and easy songs.
    • After you finish playing through all the hand-picked arrangements, we will start suggesting songs that you have previously played but may not have played in a while.
• The featured content carousel has been moved to the Play tab to accommodate the new portals being added to the Home tab.
• The skill profile on Guitar and Bass has been moved into the Player Dashboard page.
• The button to open the Ubisoft Connect overlay has been moved into the Hub tab header.

MAJOR BUG FIXES

Audio

• Fixed an issue that could cause audio corruption on Song Results screen.
• Fixed an issue that caused instrument connection to fail when disconnecting a controller.
• Fixed multiple issues when trying to connect with a real tone cable.

Challenges

• Fixed an issue where switching instruments caused “Step Complete!” dialog box to appear.

Hub

• Fixed a bug in the player dashboard where a soft lock may occur when trying to enter a song without going through the Tuner screen.
• Fixed an issue that prevented songs from being added to My Saved Songs.

Mobile

• Fixed an issue where the device microphone may not work if no other input methods were available.
• Fixed an issue where certain customized headstocks would not load.

Tutorial

• Fixed an issue that caused a softlock after performing Noise Reduction.
• Fixed an issue that may have prevented some guitar players from completing the tutorial.
• Fixed an issue that caused the game to lose audio after connecting instruments using Real Tone Cable.

We also noticed some licenses shift like American Pie is available in well… America. Every Rose has it’s Thorn cover seems like it’s now available in the UK and Ireland as well. It also seems like Incubus is available in some LATAM regions where it wasn’t before (Anna Molly for example).
