This week’s Rocksmith DLC might actually motivate you to plug in your microphone outside of snagging that achievement!
The theme of today’s Rocksmith DLC is all about Motown, and as we revealed last week the song choices are outstanding.
First up we have the Otis Redding’s “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” from his similarly named album released in 1968. A defining track of his career which according to Wikipedia, has received more than eight million airplays and has been covered by over 20 different artists! Next up is The Temptation’s “My Girl” off their album The Temptations Sing Smokey. Honestly if you haven’t heard this song before I really don’t know what to say… Did you not see this movie? Have you never listened to an oldies radio station? GET OFF MY LAWN!!! *ahem* but I digress, this is a song that is ranked #88 on Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Songs of All Time.” Finally to round off the pack we have Marvin Gaye’s “What’s Going On” off his 1971 similarly named album. While not too complex in terms of guitar work the real magic will be unleashed once the bass content is released in September.
