Hello Rocksmith fans!
As revealed over the weekend, this week is a song pack from @Chris_Daughtry!
All the songs this week are from the 2006 self-titled debut. This includes the previously revealed Home, Feels Like Tonight, and Over You (Confirmed by Xbox NZ). Not one repeat from Rock Band… Shocker!
Daughtry /ˈdɔːtri/ is an American rock band formed and fronted by namesake Chris Daughtry, who was a finalist on the fifth season of American Idol. Their self-titled debut album was released in November 2006 and reached number one on the Billboard 200. The album went on to sell more than four million copies in the United States, and has been certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA. Daughtry was also named the best selling album of 2007 by Billboard, becoming the fastest-selling debut rock album in Nielsen SoundScan history.[2] The album produced four top 20 hits on the Billboard Hot 100, including top five hits “It’s Not Over” and “Home“.
Building on his start as one of the most popular finalists of American Idol’s fifth season, Chris Daughtry‘s post-Idol career spanned the archetypal modern rock of his early albums to the folk- and dance-tinged territory of 2010s albums such as Baptized. Where Bo Bice proved that American Idol could have a rocker as a finalist, Chris Daughtry proved that the show could generate a successful rocker outside the context of the show. Of course, it helped that he was the polar opposite of Bice, a shaggy retro-rocker soaked in the South. Bold and bald, Daughtry was the picture of a modern rocker, living by the rule book written by Live and Fuel. These were the qualities that helped make Chris Daughtry the most successful new rock & roll singer of 2006, as well as one of the most successful Idol graduates in the show’s history.

Are you excited about these song choices from @Daughtry_News? Or were you hoping for the more obvious choices? Let us know!
He’s popular on Spotify, but I honestly can’t see ‘pouty’ shifting large numbers. Whose responsible for choosing DLC artists now? The quality has deteriorated massively this year, to the point that it feels like they replaced a music lover with a bean counter.
Seconded
Thirded.
Not a big fan but would have liked to see It’s Not Over in this pack.
This sucks I wanted Advanced Exercises Vol 3 i blame you Elliott.
Would rather have a Bert Weedon pack – and that’s from a bass only player
So this is from the “where we live” clue? Bummer, I was hoping for the DKs, which I realize won’t happen but still, maybe something else local to the San Francisco area.
it could either be that or Rocksmith gets local
Wow, the garbage just keeps coming. I didn’t think it could get worse than ” social media stars”. I was really hoping for another round of exercises. Shouldn’t they have been a free dlc for a 6yr old game?
It’s not for me but I really like both Live & Fuel, bands Daughtry seems to be inspired from. I get people are talking crap because of the American Idol connection and while I don’t watch the show at all myself, just because he is from a reality television show, doesn’t mean he lacks talent. He’s not terrible by any means, and I’ll take 2000’s Alternative Rock anyday for DLC over stuff that doesn’t actually have guitar in it.

Seconded.
Will definitely get this, really LOVED this album! Disappointed that the Slash collaboration What I Want wasn’t one of the songs in the pack though…
Oh this is an American idol thing. So its aimed at preteen girls or something, No wonder I can’t stand it. Nothing good can come from any reality show. Fingers crossed for next week than. I guess Bieber fans will enjoy this. I’m skipped it.
I’ve been crossing my fingers for next week for so long they’ve fused into an arthritic lump.
