Rocksmith Remastered DLC 5/29/2018 – Norah Jones

Hello Rocksmith fans!

from Norwegian Black Metal to @NorahJones, that’s just how Rocksmith rolls in 2018!

Over the weekend it was revealed that both Sunrise (Feels Like Home – 2004) and Come Away With Me (2002) would be included in the three pack! As expected, her biggest single Don’t Know Why (Come Away With Me – 2002) will be included as well (confirmed by Xbox AU).

Norah Jones – $7.99 / Steam

Get that capo ready!

The default rhythm path for “Come Away with Me” is a somewhat simplified hum-and-strum arrangement. The alt. rhythm arrangement is a faithful transcription of the guitar work in the recording.

“Don’t Know Why” includes an alt. lead path that has two slightly different iterations of the main guitar riff during the piano solo.

“For this pack, the lead arrangements for ‘Don’t Know Why’ lend themselves to fingerpicking, while ‘Sunrise’ and ‘Come Away with Me’ are easier to play with a pick. The bridge in ‘Sunrise’ would be a good opportunity for hybrid picking.”

  1. Sad to see the downed thumbs on this one but I know it’s coming.

While I haven’t been in tune with many elements of the DLC this year, Ubisoft gets huge applause for flavoring the pot. There’s been pop, country, metal, classic rock, whatever Dethklock is, and folk music. Even had a touch of Blues with George Thorogood. Now, after years of asking they finally touch on Jazz. While I like Norah Jones and have 3 of her CDs, personally I’m not interested in learning her music on guitar, but someone out there is.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but Ubisoft puts out music that folks request. It’s not just, oh well there’s nothing left, throw some scraps out. Ask the metal fans how long they’ve been waiting on a pack like last week. Same goes for Mumford and Sons and the Cardigans. Pretty sure its the same thing hear. (<–spelled that way on purpose) There is guitar in these songs.

I'm sure someone out there requested everything we've seen this year. There's no such thing as only one way to rock. Glad Rocksmith is stepping out.

At the same time it's saving me money.

      1. if it wasn’t for jazz and blues the guitar would be as popular as a trombone today not to say that trombones aren’t cool

  2. Hard to be optimistic when there’s been some pretty awful DLC lately and then this happens. But I’m glad you’re happy.

  3. Seriously? Is it getting towards the end of rocksmith? So many good songs by so many awesome artists. C’mon Ubisoft… You’re embarrassing me.

    1. Yep. After all those other times they’ve been accused of scraping the bottom of the barrel because they’re winding down and never going to release “good” DLC again, surely THIS is the time it’s actually true! /s

      1. nah it’s got to be Night Fever. Was flipping stations and heard the baseline for this song. Kinda funky. Not sure if the Bee Gees have other stuff like that, but that wasn’t bad.
