  1. Well, at least it’s guitar based music that’s bound to improve your chops. Additionally, rather than having the traditional “Cookie monster growling at his wife after not getting dinner” style vocals, Dethklok use something more along the lines of “Cookie monster reading his kid a bedtime story” style vocals.

Seriously though Rocksmith, next time can we please have some metal with melodic vocals in the same vain as Ronnie James Dio?

  2. I was listening to Dethklok the other day wondering if there was a possibility for more DLC soon. I’m hoping for “Hatredy” and “Go Forth and Die”.

  3. Bloodlines from Guiter Hero Warriors of Rock could be awesome. By the way, I like the low tunings packs.

    1. So, first, you ranted about how you dislike alt pop or modern music, and now you’re saying no on metal? Make up your mind.

      1. Hey Mikey, your role is not to be the comment section police in here. Also, learn to better understand what elements make up a “rant”. I did not once rant on anything and simply stated the Cardigans were blah. Make up my mind? Just because I don’t like the Cardigans doesn’t mean I therefore love all other genres of music, especially a “cosmetic” metal sub-genre. I do find it funny you get so butt-hurt about people voicing their opinions though. Now this is a rant!

    2. Never complain about what DLC is released. Everyone has different tastes in music, like snowflakes, no two are the same. I just wait until something I like comes out and buy it. Of course if you have a broad range of music appreciation, there is at least the opportunity they will release something you like. I think a lot of what I would like to see is probably difficult for them to obtain permission from the artist. Would love (and have requested) to see some from AC/DC, GNR, Metallica, Glenn Frey, Bryan Adams and a lot more, but I appreciate that I’ve been able to buy great stuff from Evanescence, Halestorm’, Seether and the like. Like learning the guitar, just takes a little patience.

      1. Patience. This is true. Never thought Marley, SRV, or any hip hop would ever show up. There’s a lot of music to get to. Sometimes it helps to read the signs. The anniversary pack included the first song from Bob. The only James Brown song we have includes an SRV solo. Both artists got packs the following year. It’s like Ubisoft is dropping hints sometimes. (speaking of hints, I hope what we’ve seen means more MJ, P-Funk, Huey Lewis, RHCP, and OutKast). I waited 3 years for Green Onions–it takes patience and luck.
While this week’s pack easily equates to another skip button for me, diverse tastes in music, RATM, Jackson 5, Alabama Shakes, Brooks N Dunn, Muddy, Pearl Jam, and Cheryl Crow keep me satisfied. I believe this is why folks say, “never complain” about the DLC. Unless you’ve never purchased a pack, just toss out a “meh” and move on. Like this week’s pack, “meh” to infinity for me, but someone out there likes it. Congrats to those individuals. Like the rest of us, I know you’ve been waiting a long time. Patience.
