Hello Rocksmith fans!
Today’s DLC was revealed via a YouTube premiere from the @Rocksmithgame trained sister duo of @Audrey123talks!
After EIGHT years of playing with Rocksmith @Audrey123talks enters the DLC library with their latest single No Reason
Can you master Audrey’s solo and Kate’s bass line?
???
What other Social Stars could join @Audrey123talks next week?
What follows is speculation
How about this dude?
Until we get Big Sur Moon this could do nicely
A song from The Riff Repeater himself? You never know…
Are you excited at the prospect of learning the riffs of these Social Stars? Or are you already looking towards the final clue of September? Let us know!

While this sounds like a good idea in theory, I doubt this pack will get much traction at all. I’ve enjoyed checking in on Audrey over the years, but have zero interest in learning any of her stuff. It looks like many hold a similar position. Social media “stars”? Don’t care. I do not want to pile on, but this reeks of last throes for RS. Last several weeks (months?) have been terribly uninteresting. I genuinely hope something of note come up soon.
Guess you’ll find out tomorrow
RIP Rocksmith it was fun while it lasted.
Ok, see you next week
This is cool just because they learned to play on the game and now they do their own music. Anyone putting this down for whatever reason just doesn’t understand why on this one I get it. It’s good to see Audrey and Kate on here.
W T F. my god what crap
Do I smell salt because their band make it in this pack?
Hey Elliott, why don’t you just tell us the true state of Rocksmith so we know exactly what is going on with this game? Please.

Ah yes. I’m good now. If this is true, and the DLC this year seems to confirm it, what I complained about often in 2016 and earlier is coming to pass. Key statement here: “Guitar is not limited to hard rock and metal….” also “the first few years of DLC clung fairly tightly to those genres.” That was a complaint I had. (a few others in this room as well.) Even the variety packs and mixed packs were very quite low on actual variety. For me, that word “Variety”, should mean the styles should have wide ranging differences from one another. [Example Variety Pack1: The Dove Shack, Alabama, The Staple Singers, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Bonnie Raitt, Israel Kamaka’wiwo’ole. Variety Pack 2: Sly and the Family Stone, Dixie Chicks, George Benson, Taj Mahal, Weird Al Yankovic]
I’ve got nothing against hard rock and metal. I know that every style of music has a voice that speaks to someone. Problem is, the DLC over many of the years of Rocksmith’s existence really has spoken to a select group of ears WAY MORE than others. Pretty sure, as a customer, I’ve contributed to that as well since there are some songs I like in those genres also.
There’s so much music out there. Why are we filling up on just a few genres? Looking back on posts made by Oni, Weisenheimer, DallasDave, JoeMcMirra and others, there are so many artists and styles that have little to no representation in this game. Artists like the ones mentioned above, along with Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Cameo, Peter Tosh, War, Vince Gill, A Tribe Called Quest, Fourplay, and many others seem to be no where in sight. There are others with only one song. Where’s the rest? (Huey Lewis and News, Parliament, James Brown, OutKast, Hall N Oates, Howlin’ Wolf) Hope Ubisoft is working on that in the midst of their current plans.
I read often that folks think Rocksmith is on the way out. Sometimes it does seem like that. It could be that this new statement is just a way to save face. Or it could also be they’re looking at what’s come out and realizing, there are gaps that need to be filled. For me, it seems like (at least since 2017) Ubisoft has been working hard to spread out the catalog. While I haven’t been interested in much of what’s come out recently (especially following that Monumental March 2019) guitar is more than just a few styles, so keep it going.
Thank you for the reply. It seems to me though from a business standpoint you are not making the right decision. It’s obvious from the consumers reaction to this move. I look forward to more rock and metal when its offered. Thank you once again for the reply.
You don’t even know who else is in the song pack ?
There’s an old saying “If you try to please everyone, you’ll end up pleasing no one”
I really want to be banned
I got you
Thank You Lol
Who cares.
I like the idea! I don’t mind one of these the odd time. If it’s because the game is tanking then that’s sad. If this and the lessons pack are a way of branching out… then I’m openminded.
There is literally no sign of the game tanking. It’s been producing weekly content for years now.
I’m pretty sure this is what is put out right before the whole game tanks. Another shit week for Rocksmith.
How is producing weekly content for years a sign of a game tanking? You are aware that there are other customers, right? You are not the only one.
If social stars is the topic, then populate with most of FrogLeap Studios’
I know I know, license to originals. But he does have some good stuff.
Its almost the quality of half Japanese but this type of encouragement might mean that indie music could return one day to its greatness. All these people who are bashing it just buy a 4 track recorder and put it out there I assure you it will be bad and that’s the whole point to develop musicians not produce them
Awful – this isn’t even demo level quality, I get trying to encourage kids, but there are way better YouTube kid musicians out there.
Did they learn by playing rocksmith for the last 8 years?
Bring on a pack by The Warning!
He means the recording quality. Sounds like a phone on the floor in the middle of their room.
Probably an iPad with a microphone… Perhaps the royalties from the pack will help them buy better recording equipment. I don’t mind how raw it sounds but playing the rhythm guitar is probably going to be rough
Does anyone really care? Nope. I’m glad they learned to play using the game, that’s awesome! Does their song deserve to be in a pack? Absolutely not. I wouldn’t even call that track mediocre.
Hopefully the other songs appeal to you in the pack, if not come back next week and maybe you can deem a song worthy of your approval. We should be so lucky!
Defeated, frustrated face palm gif
Any news on how much they’ll be charging for the dlc? Cos everything about ‘No Reason’ shouts amateur at best (dat production tho’) and I don’t feel they should be charging full whack for it.
That aside, this is kind of cool and I bet A & K are absolutely thrilled.
I could see it being under $7.99 USD but I don’t think it will be $2.99 like the Classic Melody Pack for example
This is a cool way for the RS team to show support for the people who have used RS to either learn music, or have promoted it consistently from the beginning. The Good and the Damned could be lots of fun. I would also like to see more Crimson. Don’t Stop is one of my favorite songs to play.
They could show better support by getting the packs people actually want to play
How about King Crimson?
I don’t even want to know how they convinced Robert Fripp to allow Guitar Hero access to 21CSM
Does Marty Music fit within this? Not that I’m expecting anything. Just curious.
Not to sound harsh, but I don’t know why anyone would pay money for a pack like this. If it were free, it might tempt some people to download it and spread the music of these artists. I found out about Rocksmith initially by chance when You Tube recommended Audrey playing Slayer.
I don’t know why anyone paid money for the Deftones pack but it happened ?
I know this is off-topic but the idea sounds fun.
Okay, here’s mine. I don’t know why anyone paid money for Ice Ice Baby but it happened.
Oh and here’s another. I don’t know why anyone paid money for Milli Vanilli (and then topped it off with a Grammy) but it happened. (___________ <—Insert classic Geto Boys quote here)
I’ve been enlightened to the plight of Milli Vanilli in the past 5 years, it’s actually really sad…

if elliot is making money from the ads on this site hes basically being paid to make smug and sarcastic comments every week to people who are rightly displeased with the content being discussed here. such a prick
Thanks! It’s spelled E L L I O T T by the way
Hard pass, I’m glad they’ve been supporting the game all these years but it’s obvious we’re reaching the end.
Maybe it’s a fallow period before they announce a RS 2020? Lately there’s at least one filler pack every month though. Frustrating.
Yea, that’s my hope, they’ve got a ton of music for 2020, and they are just filling in until then. #please
I actually recently was digging around Reddit to see if there was any hidden rocksmith news and a few weeks ago someone posted a link to a ubisoft job page and the description talked about the success of rocksmith and wanting to make it even better for next gen. The 2 job listings were for a project manager and the other specifically said note tracker. The posting also mentioned something about the Ubisoft San Francisco team working with a Japanese team. I couldn’t find a date anywhere so hopefully it wasn’t old and talking about when they brought Rocksmith over to the PlayStation 4 and xbox1. To me it looked legit and like they want to have something ready when PlayStation 5 and the next Xbox come out next year. I have this theory that we are only getting 3 packs cause they taking the fourth song that we used to get and saving it to put on rocksmith 3 or whatever they will call it.
How is a long stream of weekly content making “obvious we’re reaching the end”?
I’m at a loss for words. Just pathetic.
Why? How is including your community in your product “just pathetic”?
