A band runs someone down

Let’s get this one out of the way… Not entirely farfetched by the way

Really reaching here…

Foo Fighters III?

But yoooou

Mostly because I just saw them

“who?”

Or maybe…

a trip to nowhere

Nice, it’s a 2000s Canadian Artist Mix Pack

Well, I know @pcgamingisted would be excited for a Talking Heads pack

Life goin’ nowhere?

Is an Old Town Road technically a trip to nowhere?

A bit on the nose…

we share fun with friends

Few ideas about this one…

????????

Friends of Ubisoft?

Anyone want to try to keep up with Sheu? (3:46)

  1. Honestly, if it were the year 2013/2014 I would have said “Band on the Run” by Macca, “Nowhere Man” and “With a Little Help from my Friends” by the Beatles, but after 6 years I have absolutely no faith at all in Rocksmith by this point

  2. Been patiently waiting since 2014 (I think that’s when he pack came out) on that Tom Petty track to complete the set.

    1. Hey man hope things have been good with you and yours. You’ve been quiet awhile. A) I commend you on the simplicity in your needs to round out your Tom Petty needs. That wouldnt even come close for me. We’re still missing all my favorite tracks, even if we get that one.

Have you picked a new epic song to champion yet? And how has mastering M.B. been going for you?

      1. Doing well, thank you much. I’ve popped in the room here from time to time (not as often as before M.B) with a few short comments. Been mostly reading the posts as I didn’t feel I had much to add to keep the conversation going. (Wanted to chime in on the Women Who Rock II pack but ran short of time. You nailed in on the comments in the speculation page.)

So to answer your question, over the years, I have actually made quite a few comments in here about the next great track in mind. May not be everyone’s cup of tea, but there is SOOOOOO much that can be said about the Live from Cook County Jail version of B.B. King’s How Blue Can You Get. The touch on some of these notes is like “yeah I’d like to say that”. The sustain at such critical moments adds so much warmth and feeling (soul) and the solo as a whole really plays like he’s telling you a story. I want to hug Lucille and say “I understand.” The bass also blends in to push the narrative to where the solo almost wouldn’t grab you by the ribs, if the bass were absent. By the time B.B. starts singing, I’m like, “UNCLE! Hold on a minute, I need a break. Got to pause and collect my thoughts. ” Yeah, I’ve been championing this one for a while. As an emotional guitar solo, this is the next best thing to M.B. for me. (sad thing is my schoolwork won’t let me practice either song for a while.) 🙁

        1. Well that is one of the all time classic live albums. Hard to go wrong there.

That reminds me though of something I’ve thought about before. There has been some really good work done at time by various musicians and groups that weren’t done or released through where most of their work comes from and might be easier to get. As an example take Led Zeppelin some of the most famous and often cited as the best versions of some of their songs ever released are from them are the BBC tracks. Though missing some of my favorite songs it maybe the best thing from them ever released (I have everything and it is to me) that’s one where I’ve played it for people who are and are not fans and had them be blown away. It’s one of those how did I not know about thieves albums. But there are other examples of that sort of thing and I wonder what it would take for Ubi to take advantage of some these fantastic opportunities. There are some really great tracks off of both editions of Nativity in black and all the B.S. guys have tracks they love off of those (probably some not so much as well), just as an example of something that’s not live tracks but it would be a great way to get quality stuff that people really want if it really can’t be obtained through the normal channels. Plus if it does well maybe the OG bands willl change their mind and than we get those as we’ll.

But I say go for it, maybe we can get a pack of tracks from legendary live albums, which not only may have some of the definitive versions but are more likely to be from sources that maybe easier to obtain in some cases.

        1. Wildflowers is a stunning record, every cut is great, goes way deeper than the singles.
          Hypnotic Eye was great too.

          1. I’m not sure we will ever see any of the Wilbury’s tracks (but what a treat for the right songs if we got a pack), but I think his 3 (not really) solo albums were probably his best with his in between album Into the Great Wide Open being the next. But it’s a pretty great catalog. I would take breakdown but from the same album, Anything that’s R’n’R is one I felt has been missing. Also for earlier tracks Even the Losers and the Waiting would be nice. Definitely an artist we could use more of.

  3. But you
Why you wanna give me a run-around
Is it a sure-fire way to speed things up
When all it does is slow me down

    Please a blues Traveler pack!

And by the way, we have enough pop music in this game. “Floods” or “The Art Of Shredding” by Pantera please! I did request those

        1. Haha, Dimebag stated that he wouldn’t have been able to sound as heavy if it weren’t for Rex Brown’s creative, genius bass lines. The bassist does deserve more credit than I think he gets.

      1. Well of course the clues didn’t point to Pantera. In my comment I didn’t clarify that I’m trying to bring more attention to requests made by me and others. It seems like all the weekly DLCs are full of pop song hits, so I hope they will be more variety in the future. There’s small amount of DLCs for metal and blues, however hardly much for jazz or country. I feel there’s an enthusiasm for metal genre DLCs from people who post comments here.

    1. I’d find it vastly preferable to get Goddamn Electric, Becoming, I’ll cast a shadow, Drag the waters, Hole in the sky, I’m brroken, Revolution is my name, Where you come from, Immortally insane (most people havent heard this one but its awesome), No good, Psycho holiday, Rise, Slaughtered, Hostile (or F@cking Hostile depending on which album its off of but we all know we’d get the infuriatingly annoying edit, which is way more offensive than not editing it, but i digress) and half of the Rebel meets Rebel album, which Rex, Vinnie, and Dime have repeatedly stated is either their best album or has some of thier best songs or best parts they ever wrote (and it is shockingly good and I have played it and gotten more people into regardless of music taste more than I ever thought I would), but yeah I’d take more Pantera.

Seeing as how RS picks some of their packs though I’d just be happy if they only gave us Runaround and call it a day.

      1. Thanks for the comment, “drag the waters” is one of my top favorite songs. And I’ve put all the songs you’ve mentioned into Ubisoft’s request page, I hope you have too. So hopefully they all get more attention and we’ll possibly see them in future DLCs.

        1. Oh yes requested those and more already, but of any of those that you hadn’t, but now have requested I thank you. I had recently been trying to figure out something from one of their tracks so I had to go through my collection of their entire catalog and track it down, so I had a bunch of those riffs with there names refreshed in my brain.

  4. I really hope it’s band on the run and we get a Wings pack. It’s hard to go wrong with Paul McCartney. Put maybe I’m amazed on there too.

    1. Ive never heard it but it seems to annoy all age groups and fans of all genres. Im guessing its the next macarena or who let the dogs out.

  5. I’m really hoping to see another Tom Petty pack and that Rembrandts song is a given judging by the 90s one hit wonders we got so far.
