Speculation: Papa Roach brings edge to Rocksmith 2014

Greetings Rocksmith fans!

Next week’s DLC is a three pack from Papa Roach! We don’t know the songs yet but before we get to predictions let’s check out @DanAmrich’s clue!

Yup, it’s Papa Roach!

Papa Roach is no stranger to music games, with 4 songs in Rock Band (including a weird alternate take of Last Resort) and Lifeline on Activision’s Band Hero there is definitely some obvious songs to pick from.

Here’s what we expect the three pack to look like.

There’s no way this isn’t included.

Here are the Top 10 most listened to Papa Roach songs on @Spotify! Which song do you think is most likely to show up next week in the Papa Roach three pack?

Is @PapaRoach your thing, or this a skip week? Are you excited to learn the riff from Last Resort or are you still waiting for something more challenging? Let us know!

  1. Wow, I find it amazing to read some of the "musicians" on here running their mouths about any kind of real music (music written and performed by the artists themselves). Everyone has their own tastes and that's fine but a true "musician" can respect and appriciate ANY real music. I'm 29 so the whole rap rock and nu metal was my scene along with so much classic rock and even classical and jazz music. I don't understand the hate and disrespect towards any musician coming from other so called musicians.

  2. wow since i literally called this as the next washed up 2000's band to showup here i'll make my next premanition next washed up 90s/000s band to show up is a duel between chevelle and p.o.d

as for songs its obvious its the rock band features as none of the actual good songs from this band will be here example dead cell. burn, blood brothers. Also if there can be a suicide pro song on here why not a revenge song such as burn? last resort is more washed up than a vegas walker.

i'm with some others i think at this point i'd prefer 80s or 70s than these played out 2000s bands

  3. I was really confused for a second, because I could have sworn I’d played Papa Roach in Rocksmith many times before. After scrolling through my songlist I realized I was just thinking about Iron Maiden. Honest mistake when the guitar riffs are identical!

  4. A six pack from Alice Cooper would be awesome. I’m eighteen, Schools out, billion-dollar babies, muscle of love, poison and feed my Frankenstein please! If Papa roach can get a pack then give the Coop his due.

  5. I’ll pick this up like I’ve done almost every other pack. I’m not really into their music, but neither am I gonna be a douche and claim that “it’s not real music” either.

      1. brent, you have no idea how bad you look compared to toshineon; really bad.

oh well if thats the image youre going for then carry on.

  6. Ok so with the path ubisoft has taken in 2015 is it safe to say Korn, STP, Staind, and more Nirvana are on the way? Who else from the 90 rock scene is left? if they go in to the 2Ks it would be nice to see LLB or Mayer.

      1. Server. A server brings people food. Unless you are part of a West African ethno-religious group, in which case you’re probably playing Sabarsmith.

(Sorry dude this had to be done 😛 )

  7. Ubisoft threw us bassists a bone with “Fake It” in the Seether pack. Here’s hoping we get another by finding “Getting Away With Murder” in this pack.

In all likelihood, though, we probably won’t be getting a song that Rock Band didn’t. Last Resort is obvious, Forever is very very likely, and Lifeline will probably round out the pack. Still an easy buy, and should still be a decent pack for bassists considering Papa Roach’s bassist is their primary songwriter.

  8. I think Elliot’s choices are most likely though I really hope M-80 (Explosive Energy Movement) is included.

  9. This band totally sucks. The lead singer is such a poser douche bag. Look at their debut, then how he went from hipster douche to “now I’m tattooed so I’m tough” douche Pass on this one. What’s next Limp Bisket and Sugar Ray? Come on now. Where is Tool and Black Sabbath?

    1. Sugar ray or smash mouth is a given and only reason limp biz kit won’t make it is because of tunings. Scraping the barrel these days

  10. I'll pass this one too. Last time I bought a dlc pack was the killers, i think. Audioslave ans bon jovi are on the line. it would be nice see again those mixed packs like valentines day, cos' we usually could pick at least on enjoyable thing. About bands, of course I already requested on properly page, but Wilco, Placebo, a Blur, a new Smashing pumpkins including new album songs, the cure new pack, arcade fire, real estate, mogwai, a decent nirvana, pearl jam pack… man… It would be sucha fine job

  11. I'm glad rocksmith been really on the ball getting some great 90s bands I'm excited I know last resort already but I'd get it I bet they bleep the don't give a f*** lol hope they do getting away with murder scars or she loves me not BC for me those are their hits but they'll pick last resort scars and something from the new album probably for more exposure

  12. I think it can be a fun pack. I especially liked their “lovehatetragedy” album (“M-80” would be sweet, full of energy catchy riffs, maybe a bit easy but very pleasant to play) Waiting for the song list but I’ll take “Last resort” at least

    1. I love the 90’s. Complain all you want, but these types of bands sold like hotcakes in their day, so blame the millions of people that bought it. I’m not a fan of some 70’s and 80’s, but I can respect their place in the game. I’m not a fan of these guys, but millions are.

  13. I liked Last Resort and I have to say it’s still quite a catchy beat. There was also Blood Brothers. Those were only two I knew really but sound still okay, no shame.

  14. A band I was big into as a kid, but one that has not aged well. Might pick up a few songs up for nostalgia’s sake, but definite skip if they release any of their new stuff. Not that they are much worse than the old, just that they do not have any sentimental value for me whatsoever.
