  1. I can’t stop thinking how great it would be if the “classic collaboration” was Layla. Either the original (w/ piano coda) or acoustic.

Unfortunately, It probably doesn’t really count (although Duane Allman did add a lot to the song), Clapton seems uninterested in RS anymore, and slide isn’t a strong point of the game.

Too bad it won’t show up anytime soon. Please, Eric, we want to learn your fantastic songs.

  2. The classic collaboration to end all classic collaborations:
Hindu Love Gods (AKA Warren fuckin’ Zevon and REM) – “Raspberry Beret”

  3. Why doesn’t anyone think the good advice is….

    TAKE IT EASY

Wouldn’t an eagles pack be super huge and overdue? OR is this one of the ones we’ll never see?

    1. This game has been out so long and we haven’t seen the Eagles yet. Like Zeppelin, Van Halen, and Metallica, it just doesn’t seem likely.

  4. Alright, just throwing this out there, hopes aren’t high, but throwing it out anyway.

    Classic Collabos

Aerosmith & Run DMC – Walk this Way (good call everyone)

BB King and Eric Clapton – Key to the Highway

Brad Paisley featuring Clint Eastwood – Eastwood

John Lee Hooker featuring Santana – Chill Out (Things Gonna Change)

John Mayer and Brad Paisley – Bigger than My Body (live from Crossroads)

John Mayall & the Bluesbreakers featuring Eric Clapton – Any Song from that Album

Michael Jackson featuring Saul Hudson – Give Into Me

Michael Jackson – Beat It (any thing with Eddie on it would be good)

David Bowie – Let’s Dance (while I’d prefer many other songs, any SRV would be welcome)

Eve featuring Gwen Stefani – Blow Ya Mind (just to see if anyone’s reading)

  5. Feels unlikely, but I sincerely hope it is Anthem by Rush. I would love another Rush pack, as I’m sure many others would. There are sooo many great choices in their catalog!

  6. Do supergroups count as classic collaborations because Cream or Emerson, Lake, and Palmer, or Bad Company are all rock Classics.

  7. Don’t expect anything good to come out. It hasn’t happened this year so far.. And if something half way decent comes out you’ll be suprised !

        1. Hmmm. Is the tuning a factor. I kind of always assumed the issues were more of yes/nos from the artists or record label.

I wonder if there’s a chance we’ll see GnR DLC before they implode again. (I’m sure it’s coming).

  8. Am I the only one hoping and praying for Travelling Willburies for classic collaboration??? I know wishful thinking.

  9. Pretty sure one of the anthems is Good Charlotte. I’m hoping the other one is a song I happened to request just a few months ago, “Anthem(We are the Fire)” by Trivium. I would also be happy with “Anthem” by Rush or the Japanese metal band Anthem.

If David Bowie and Queen’s “Under Pressure” is not the classic collaboration then I would be surprised, although Aerosmith and Run-DMC would be good too.

  10. Im thinking for the good advice clue. Alanis morrisette ironic. Manily as she had a song on bandfuse

  11. Dancing In The Street offers good advice.

Summer’s here and the time is right
    For dancing in the street

All we need is music, sweet music.

Whatever version, but it could fit in with a desired Bowie pack (collaboration w/ Mick Jagger).

Martha and the Vandellas (Motown pack?), The Mamas and the Papas (California band or ’60s mix pack?), Grateful Dead (GD pack!), Van Halen (unlikely), Bowie

  12. Here is my guesses. How about Be Good to Yourself or Don’t Stop Believing for the good advice. We need Journey for Rocksmith!!!!. I would love to have Anthem by Rush-not likely. We need more Rush. How about our National Anthem by Jimi Hendrix. That would be so cool. Classic collaboration- I think everyone is right on track with Under Pressure. Love to see more Bowie and Queen.

    1. Just thought of another collaboration- Michael Jackson and Eddie Van Halen with Beat It. One can only hope.

    1. Sure. Make it a Bowie and… pack. Include China Girl, written w/ Iggy Pop, opening the door to Iggy w/ or w/o The Stooges. Add All the Young Dudes, written for Mott the Hoople.

Under Pressure, Fame, Let’s Dance, China Girl, and All the Young Dude.

      I know, the Stone’s advice.

  13. Would be nice to see some more BB.

Classic collabo: Key to the Highway – B.B. King and Eric Clapton

  14. Under Pressure would be ideal. Hopefully as part of a Bowie pack. Any way it takes for SRV shows up is fine.

That is some great advice by The Stones.
