Greetings Rocksmith fans!
Seems like @DanAmrich wants to watch us squirm a bit as the monthly Rocksmith newsletter sent to those that opt in on their UPlay accounts contained hints for two week’s of DLC!
Check it out:
An iconic debut single from the 90’s
Ok, we can take care of this one
A famous return from classic rock
Could Eric Clapton be coming back to Rocksmith and bringing the songs we lost with him?
Update:
18:30ish “Love my favourite magazine”
Nope, it’s Thin Lizzy!
A wonderful catastrophe
Wishful thinking…
What do you think is coming this week and next? While keeping in mind this and this of course.
So for this 5th month of the year, do we have a photo of Peter Parker standing next to his Aunt?
If we get another set of clues, perhaps?
Looking forward to it.
Looked up “iconic songs” in Wikipedia. First example was “Smells like teen spirit”. Apparently, Iconic songs are those considered by many to be the best. So Nirvana? Yay.
Does it matter? Nay
A wonderful catastrophe . . . Isn’t it ironic . . don’t you think?
a little too ironic
Yeah, I really do think.
There was a wonderful catastrophe in Genesis.
Too obvious? Yes.
Anything but AC/DC… Every song sounds the same…. I’d rather play Kenny G backing tracs!!!
Then it shows how woefully ignorant you are . Even some of the most virtuoso guitar players cites angus and Malcolm as brilliant rythym players . Also you couldthrowarock andhotcoutlessarticles analyzing their playing.
Two pages out of rock music that have plagued guitar instruction and Guitar Centers for far too long. Rocksmith is the first realm of teaching that successfully diverts from that stuff at least a little bit. I don’t want to feel like I’m in a virtual Guitar Center or reading Guitar Player magazine to learn some classic “licks”.
YESSS FINALLY but saint Patrick’s day was last month oh well least I won’t be shipping to boston
Dan sort of confirmed the return from Rock n Roll clue had to do with Thin Lizzy. I guess it’s a no for Clapton, although it doesn’t make much since that Thin Lizzy is a “return” since they were never featured in this game before.
The clue hints at a famous return, referring to the famous return of the boys, to town
While I would love to see a Clapton pack as I never purchased RS 1 and missed out there are some other possibilities.
Let’s not forget Journey, Fleetwood Mac and on a much grander scale, the Eagles all made triumphant returns in the last 20 – 30 years.
ACDC and the Stones made big returns in the 80s.
Oh one more thing. As for a Wonderful Catastrophe, the careers of both Fleetwood Mac and RHCP both fit the bill.
A famous return to classic rock? Ac/Dc back in black. Depends what they mean by a famous return, but now I have my hopes way up!
Pixies, now that’d be fun to play to
If the 2 songs from Clapton/Cream come back we better not have to pay again. Here’s hoping to Layla and Cocaine as well.
If it is an Eric Clapton pack, it better be more then 5 songs.
More than what, and then 5 songs?
Thand wut.
*than (Sorry, english is not my native language)
How about some more KINGS of LEON!!!!??… Great band with great guitar riffs… Getting tired of all this boring dlc!.. Cream and or any of clapton’s good stuff would be great.
I am real bad with these clues… but yea, looks like the Band The Turtles …. and maybe Nirvana “Smells Like Teen Spirit” Love it or Hate it, it was one of those Iconic songs of the 90’s. And I Have no idea what else. Like I said I am bad with the clue stuff.
I am sure I am way off. but heh
Cream!!!
…I thought with that picture we were getting songs from that early 90’s TMNT band. That would probably be the greatest DLC ever.
I see your TMNT soundtrack and raise you
all in !

Riddles solved.
A famous return from classic rock:
Anthrax 2
A wonderful catastrophe:
Anthrax 3
Looks like we’ve got some good DLC coming our way.
Hopefully we get some new tracks to the Clapton set. Bell Bottom Blues would be definitely be a nice addition.
Fleetwood Mac with Landslide for a wonderful catastrophe maybe? Really hoping the Eric Clapton guess is correct. Faith no More would be fine with me also. Epic is a great song.
ugh i say no for epic, the song is way too overplayed but I would be ok with mid life crisis
