  1. Okay, I know this could be reaching a lil’ bit, but considering the year we’ve had, it’s worth mentioning.

Could the electrical storm and SoCal be 2 different things? And with that could the electrical storm be in anyways a hint toward Thunderstr……? Almost don’t even want to say it.

  2. A Live pack would be really cool but I bet it will be lightning bolt by Jake Bugg because I keep hearing that song everywhere on TV and radio these days

    1. Ooo, yeah, i could also see that. They used to play that song a lot in guitar center , people mistook it for early bob Dylan

  3. Live and RHCP are way overdo for Rocksmith. What is the logic with the other bands? Seriously, “grease lighting”? I thought i was playing guitar not a Broadway show.

      1. Did that and I want the 7 minutes back..Look I get it, got to touch all types of music. Just a boring song for a Rock/Metal guy like me. Just my opinion, thanks for listening.

    1. Ha! Yup, or maybe this weeks surf pack , funkadelics maggot brain is like the best surf song EVER 😉

      1. As long as we have Maggot Brain they can include it in the next 90s hits pack, I wouldn’t care.

        1. Man, this is good to see. I’m amazed at how much love there is for this song. Magazines don’t talk about it enough, websites don’t talk about it enough, and surprisingly, no one is teaching it on YouTube. It is so underrated compared to other well known rock tracks/guitar solos.

I’ve written to Guitar World (and way back in the day, Guitar One) hoping someone would transcript this instead of repeating songs in their magazines every few years. Haven’t found any tabs online. (so far, I have a good start, learning it on my own, but it would be nice to see it concrete somewhere)

Pearl Jam has covered it, Santana has covered it, I think there may be a video out there of Slash playing a piece of it, and there is a great video on Youtube of a boy and his uncle playing it in the backyard of a family barbecue.

‘Bout time our love for this song hits the masses. (of course, it would help if George Clinton will loosen the straps a bit on his music.)

            1. Wow!!!. I think Eddie Hazel would have been pleased to see his creation interpreted in a new and very interesting way.

Not sure why this comes to mind now, but the one artist I’d love to have seen play this song,

              PRINCE.

Not sure if he ever did, but I can imagine it would have been EPIC!!!!

  4. Well electrical storm might most likely not but it could also be hinted for Metallica Ride the Lightning but chances of that are not likely but would be cool if it was. Because it’s been a long time wait for them to show up on the game but who knows there are so many possibilities and if it is Metallica they are probably are hinting something from that album not necessarily Ride the Lightning but like I said chances of that are slim to none

    1. Might be just the fan talking, but I would expect Metallica to be worth a bigger announcement than the monthly newsletter. Plus they moved from LA to San Francisco. Is that south enough?

  5. Live & RHCP would be incredible
RHCP is probably a bit of a stretch, so even just Live would be an instant buy for me

  6. I thought lighting crashes was the pick also, id love a live pack, in the past I would have said no to rhcp because its to big of a band not to be released around the holidays, but ubisoft has been blowing away expectations and previous patterns of releases. I think a lot of bands that have said no in the past are now saying yes. We might not be at Beatles or metallica yet but i expect some of the biggest and best bands/songs not yet featured in the game are already on there way. If the whole year is amazing like this, which it has been, i can hope what WILL be coming at the end of the years holiday options. Very exciting year of good vibrations.

    1. Hmmm……. (good idea for a pack – Different Artists – Same Title)

Tony Toni Tone – It Never Rains in Southern California.
