Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter Hints at October DLC

Hello Rocksmith fans!

It’s almost time for Green Day to wake up, and we have our newsletter for the month of October!

This month’s clue from @DanAmrich and @UbisoftStudioSF has given us a lot to think about, so let’s dive in!

It’s anything but the same old song next month! / timeless Motown

Well, now we know 50% of next week’s DLC!

From a female pop superstar

Do you recall a certain interview with @CrossieRS? Has licensing finally come through?

I guess they never got the memo

Highly unlikely, but it would be a HUGE get for Rocksmith

Could Xtina be heading our way?

Britney probably isn’t going to happen (they can’t even get her recordings in Just Dance) but I wouldn’t be surprised if we got another Canadian Popstar… Also this song is actually interesting on guitar.

Alright, let’s end it here.

With some tasty classic-rock riffs for good measure

Well, this could be pretty much anything…

So here is a video of Kim Mitchell, enjoy.

Things will heat up

2000s Mix Pack III

YASSS Drag ’em

Maybe a Hot Town?

Before they get heavy for Halloween?

So I guess we are getting #MOARMETAL for Halloween this year?

Well here’s a guess to what you kids might be getting…

There’s a few of our guesses for this month? Do these clues excite you? Or are you already hoping for November to arrive. Let us know!

  1. No offense, but if any of those predictions are correct, I will be saving money this month. What is the fascination with the likes of Spears, Aguilera, Swift, and Cyrus? I guess they are pop, but terrible pop at best. Why not grab some old school rocker pop stars, or even Linda Ronstadt for that matter? Four Tops was nice though.

      1. Well, they are all clones. I mean how about Pink at least she is stomachable. Its all good though love Rocksmith and the site you guys provide. I actually need to save money as I have nearly every song offered! Plus, I am a biased classic rock/blues/metal guy lol

  2. There are so many possibilities for this months DLCs. Like for Female pop stars you have Katy Perry which Ubi already has rights for her in Just Dance. Then you also have Gaga, Miley, Carlie Ray, Kelly, I am surprised no one has thought of PINK yet. Classic riffs could be anything from 60s to the 90s I am hoping on the lines of VH or GNR but highly doubtful but hopefully one day we will see them then things heating up you can get In Flames HELLYEAH to Red Hot Chili Peppers. Then MaorMetal for Halloween last year it was Zombie Maybe he is returning or it can be Slipknot they wear costumes and play metal, but also It can be Motionless In White A7X, Children of Bodom Cradle of Filth I am Thinking on the Lines of Bands that have like a shock theme maybe Ghost Idk but who ever it is if it’s themed with Halloween is going to be good

    1. I don’t often think of Pink as a pop princess as she’s seems a little more diverse than all of the others. A good addition thought would be “So What.”

There’s so many, “pop princesses” (not all of which I’m suggesting, but that huge list includes, those you’ve mentioned along with Mariah Carey, (I forgot the name of that boney girl everyone likes now who tries to sound like Mariah, and likes to show off her body but doesn’t want to be objectified) there are the blondes (Britney, Christina, Mandy, i’m forgetting another), Fergie might fit, Gwen Stefani, at one time Nelly Furtado fit, Madonna, and at one point you could even say Whitney Houston. How far are they going back with this thing? Doris Day had pop hits.

VH and GnR, unlikely, but I’m right there with you. RHCP too.

      1. Id actully be down with some nelly furtado. Follow me down (down, down, down) or im like a bird good hits.

      1. Yeah chilli peppers been on the back burner for awhile. Usually really big big artist come out sep- early feb. With around xmas being the biggest. Its changed over the years and spread out more but i think this could be the big chilli pepper pack we have been waiting so long for 🙂

        1. Please stop teasing me, lol. I was already thinking that the only thing that could beat the Four Tops for my pack of the year would be a RHCP or really good funk pack. I just hope that if we get one it includes “Look Around”.

  3. Okay I’m thinking some new math here. See if this makes sense.

If I remember correctly both Sammy Hagar and David Lee Roth have birthdays in October. Next year is the 40th anniversary of the release of VH’s self titled debut. So with that in mind, and the fact that we may never see VH DLC, could “some tasty classic-rock riffs” be a nod to DLR’s Eat ‘Em and Smile? We already have some Steve Vai so why not more? Also, could things get heavy by way of Sammy Hagar’s Heavy Metal?

    Just tossing it out there.
….or maybe I should just do like Quick Draw McGraw and let y’all do the thinnin’ around here. 🙂

  4. Heavy, Halloween… Please be it a Iron Maiden pack 2 with Hallowe(en)d be the name ! I’m ok with some Helloween too. :p

    1. I think I get you.
Do you mean like a spinning thing with 2 of the same letter stamped on it, a collection of brothers with a clarinet playing father, the son of a king, or a balloon that won’t float?

Or maybe it could be a jeopardy answer. ‘A collection of clones designed to look like the Autobot Bumblebee.’

  5. Finally getting a Cher pack, nice! Lol, seriously I’d rather have Gaga than any of the pop chicks mentioned up there (I’m still traumatized from that Avril whoever pack). More classic rock on the way, sweet. Moar metal, something for the metal fans, nice. Every year I’m surprised that we don’t get “Ghostbusters” around Halloween. Lol

  6. Dave groul once said he wished he wrote since you been gone by kelly clarkson. He thinks its a great rock hit. And if i remember correctly evenessance guitar player/main song writter left the band after the 03 album and got hitched with kelly and helped co write some of her hits. Something like that, its word of mouth and ive never looked it up so it could be bogus.

  7. There are a lot of ways this could go. There are a plethora of female pop superstars. I wonder if she’s getting her own pack, or if it will be part of a variety pack. It would be cool to see Kylie Minogue and Nick Cave’s duet version of Where the Wild Roses Grow. But, seriously, who knows which way this could go. Madonna? Miley Cyrus? Adele? Dido?

The classic rock riffs could be anything too. I wonder if this will a 70s mix pack, or another classic riff pack.

    Things heat up….In Flames?

Before they get heavy… I would love some Helloween, Ghost, Graveyard, Children of Bodom, or The Haunted. Maybe its Slipknot, since they play pretty heavy music in costume.
