Rocksmith Remastered DLC 7/24/2018 – Joni Mitchell

Hello Rocksmith fans!

We hope you have your capo and acoustic guitar ready because this week is three pack from Canadian folk legend, @JoniMitchellcom!

Over the weekend it was revealed that the confirmed song would be her 1970 hit off Ladies of the Canyon Big Yellow Taxi, would be included.

Today we can reveal (via Xbox AU) that the two other songs will be Both Sides, Now (Clouds – 1969), and A Case of You (Blue – 1971).

Both Sides, Now is considered to be one of 500 greatest songs of all time.

Joni Mitchell – $7.99 / Steam

That’s not so bad right?

“Big Yellow Taxi”
Lead Path is a representative path in open-E that doesn’t require capo.
Rhythm is in Open D, with a capo at the 2nd fret. This is the authentic path.
The Alt. Lead is a transcription of the vocal melody in E-Std with a few chords to flesh out harmonies.

The bass path was arranged for this song with no bass part in the original recording.

“Both Sides, Now”
Lead path is a hum-and-strum version of the song in Eb-Std.
Rhythm is Open D with the capo on the 4th fret, and is the authentic path (as originally recorded on an Appalachian dulcimer).
Alt. Lead is the vocal melody in Eb Std.

The bass path was arranged for this song with no bass part in the original recording.

Boo. To think they could have done some of the joni mitchell with Jaco’s parts in it.

Telecaster

Usually reluctant to break out the capo but this is worth it.

Restless Diesel

Respect to the genre and the artist, but can’t get interested even a little in these.

MarleySantana

Aaah, so that’s the song. For the hop hop heads, Got ‘Til It’s Gone – Janet featuring Q-Tip.

Very nice songs (speaking of both Joni’s and Janet’s)

Hard pass. Zilch for anyone enjoying the low end. Holding out hope for some Corrosion of Conformity or Down at some point. Before that same guy posts the requests link I’ll let it be known I’ve been requesting COC’s Heavens not overflowing for 3 years.

Telecaster

Would love a CoC pack.

dallasdave

Need to have some fun songs for bass players, like Montrose – Bad Motor Scooter (already requested)

Stevec

I guess you can’t have a Joni Mitchell pack without Both Sides…people would riot!

I’m really liking these recent singer-songwriter strummer songs. That KT Tunstall pack is GREAT! And, this one’s going to be super too

Wisenheimer

Beautiful songs. Joni is always welcome on my radio but when I plug my bass in to jam she’s not invited. Lol

MarleySantana

Nicely stated.

Joni Mitchell – The Dry Cleaner from Des Moines
That would be my pick above anything

New Wave Fan

Probably not the songs I would’ve picked for this pack, but Joni Mitchell is a legend and ANYTHING by her is totally welcome on my platform.

kyle

Mike
