Twisted Sister, Whitesnake, and Europe headed to Rocksmith!

Looks like I was right!

Put on your spandex pants and apply your makeup because the 80s are coming to Rocksmith! Big hair, big solos, cheesy videos. Oh yeah it’s Hair Metal brother!

Let’s get to the hints:

This was another easy one, not only is that riff incredibly recognizable but the hint is all about the PMRC hearings. It’s clearly Mercyfyl Fate’s Into The Cove- oh wait “an anthem,” ok it’s Twisted Sister’s We’re Not Gonna Take It, which is good also!

One DLC song in 2011? Could they be referring to Smoke On The Water? David Coverdale of Whitesnake was in Deep Purple from 1973-1976 and when you look for Whitesnake songs that have a long intro sans guitar Is This Love comes to mind.

What will be the third Hair Metal band to complete this 80s Pack? Quiet Riot? Ratt? Poison? Skid Row? Find out later tomorrow!

UPDATE:  The FINAL song has been revealed, and we hope your fingers are up to the challenge.

I think this will sum it up. It’s Europe’s The Final Countdown!

Are you picking up all three songs? Let us know!

Was hoping for some other 80's tunes but I'll take these ones. Most songs in the 80's have some pretty decent guitar solos. Currently I just want avenged sevenfolds nightmare released.

Kyle

some motley crew would be so awesome

KJ

You whining babies! I am shocked at the negative response to finally some non-weak DLC (or at least a step in the right direction). Ubi releases weak shit liked "pumped up kicks" and the like but i don't read any complaints here. But then we get hard rock/hair metal bands Whitesnake and Twisted Sister and now all the sudden people here have a problem with it?! Really i expected fucking better from a site that covered GH and partly pandered to the metal head in us. And the 80s had some of the most awesome music, metal included. Am i alone in this???

Crapomatic

KJ… Right on!!! Yes, at times hair bands can be cheesy… but if you wan't songs to build chops… 80's ROCK! Turn up the analog delay, go easy on the reverb, and scoop those mids!!!!!

Rusty shackleferd

rocksmith's ps3 version caused excessive crashes on my hardware to the point of collapse. Now, have no choice but to purchase another.. so #$%@ these downloads. Europe knows about the rocksmith problem in America, even more so the prolong time it takes to fix one error, ties with prolong launch date. Whats to expect the same errors for uk? america still has problems

Kyle

give us some foo fighters for crying out loud

Kyle

Maybe they r holding out on the good stuff for rocksmith 2

armin

ill pass on all three. Don't like a lot of 80s music. would of took still of the night and i wanna rock . never heard of europe but i have heard the song once or twice. to bad no crew , that would of sold well .

James!

Meh. I would have preferred a different Whitesnake song, maybe "Still of the Night"

this was cool in the 80s let it be in the 80s.
give us some other songs. there good bands now take it from their

Cdog

This is stupid. What a tasteless bunch of songs.

Mike

Why?

Cdog

Million dollar question…why would a tasteless DLC be readily available?

Crapomatic

Yep very stupid to criticizing music on a video game. Tasteless. Roll over Beethoven.

Crapomatic

Yeah spoke that 😉

Cdog

Beethoven? Are you implying that Beethoven would criticize a tasteless DLC for a music related video game?
