Top ‘o the morning, Rocksmith lads and lasses!
This week’s Rocksmith DLC brings us a wee bit of the ol’ Irish rock and punk for St. Patrick’s Day!
First off, it wouldn’t be a St. Patrick’s Day release without the obligatory Dropkick Murphys (I’m Shipping Up to Boston) and Flogging Molly (Drunken Lullabies) choices. We also get two artists making their rhythm game debut this week with 70s punk band Stiff Little Fingers (Alternative Ulster) and modern indie folk band Villagers (Becoming a Jackal)! Finally, we have a song that’s one of the most requested songs this side of Zeptallica FINALLY making its debut in a game: Zombie by The Cranberries!

A little disappointed an Irish pack and no Rory Gallagher. Something tells me if he’s not in this pack he never will be.

I’m pining for Pogues, but picked up Villagers and Murphys just the same!
aside from the Japanese bands, The Villagers marks the first time I haven’t heard of a RS DLC artist. while it’s one of the easier songs in the pack, it’s def my favorite tune from the pack. Good song.

If you people think Dropkick Murphys and Flogging my Molly is perfect, you must have never heard Alestorm; I recommend you change that. Zombie is pretty good! St. Patricks day theme aside.

I’m excited for this pack, but I’m still keeping my fingers crossed for a 5 pack from Ireland’s greatest export Thin Lizzy. The obligatory Jailbreak and Boys Are Back In Town would be there, but it would be nice to also get Black Rose, Bad Reputation, and Dancing In The Moonlight.
Would rather have had a mighty mighty bosstones pack, but i’ll get the Dropkick Murphys.
