September means back to school but it also means back to our regular scheduled bi-weekly Rocksmith DLC!
Next week seems to be all about the 1970s as we unravel the hints posted on Facebook so far…
Reggie Young played on quite a few top selling hits but after careful deliberation over the chords displayed and the guitar break near the end of the song it could only be Dobie Gray’s often covered Drift Away.
Next up is one that all our readers at @TheHeroFeed should remember!
This one really got my hopes up because I was thinking Iron Maiden and for a second thought we were getting this. However this wasn’t the case because it was another reference to that Saturday Night Live sketch everyone loves and therefore was a cowbell joke! A quick look of the tab displayed will just let you know this is indeed Mountain’s Mississippi Queen!
So there you have it! Two hits from the 1970s, and also the FIFTH singles DLC release since June.
Will the streak be broken with Avenged Sevenfold? Be sure to check back tomorrow for the third song reveal!
UPDATE: The third song has been revealed!
This one didn’t take me too long to figure out. It’s the iconic riff from David Bowie’s The Man Who Sold The World!
I hear Kurt Cobain liked this tune…
