Progress being made on Rocksmith’s UK Launch?

We haven’t heard much info from Ubisoft officially regarding the Europe release for Rocksmith since their initial announcement of disappointment in October. Besides @naohigo (Producer) doing a bit of travelling to Paris, London, and even Japan, there hasn’t been much to talk about until now:

On Friday,  a “Creative Solutions Manager,” from Bauer Media named Roxanne Vickerman (@r_oxy) tweeted that she was at a media demo for Rocksmith “getting massively brainwashed.” Why should you care about that though? Well, if you clicked on any of the links you’d notice that “r_oxy” is located in London, England!

Could this be the first steps at launching Rocksmith across the pond?

Given the fact that Bauer Media are the publisher of Kerrang, Q and Mojo – three of the biggest music magazines in the UK.we’d say it’s a pretty safe bet!

In the meantime enjoy this picture of Rocksmith being played on an unmodified Xbox in the United Kingdom.

  1. Bauer Media doesn't just handle Kerrang, they are the publisher of Kerrang, Q and Mojo – three of the biggest music magazines in the UK. Her Twitter profile specifically mentions she works for all three too. Definitely sounds promising!

  2. Music and rhythm is one of the worst game genres for timely worldwide releases. I always give credit to any publisher who can get games out in decent time such as Activision (Guitar Hero), Ubisoft (Just Dance) and even Sony (SingStar, at least the PS2 versions). In fact those who are in charge of the more renowned franchises such as EA (Rock Band) and even the famous Bemani series pioneer Konami (DDR/Karaoke Revolution/etc), tend to be amongst the WORST.

I suppose releases don't matter as much to you if you are an entitled American, but the rest of the world suffers from the ineptitude of lazy publishers.

I'm not particularly interested in Rocksmith myself, but this delay definitely wouldn't help in winning me over.

  3. I hope this means it's coming to whole Europe soon. Actually i hoped it will come out in summer so i could get for birthday present but it seems i have to buy it with my own money if it comes out in 1-2 months.
