  1. almost as bad as the Black Keys….maybe if the next Steam D.L.C. sale is 50% off I’ll get them
Skillet seriously needs to be gODsMACKED

  2. Ya know i use to be a big skillet fan. Not at all actually since the old guitarist Ben left the band. But since these songs are from their old album I might just pick up this DLC. For nostalgic purposes.

  3. Woohoo! Jesus muzak! Listened to the songs in the pack as I had never heard of them before (gotta give it a chance, eh?). A bit simplistic and quite emo-like-generica. Obviously, some folks requested it, so good for you!

  4. Not for me. It’s too bad. I’ve been waiting for more songs in Drop C and Drop Db. I just don’t like this band’s sound.

  5. I like the songs, but a little below my skill level to warrant a purchase. The only part I would need to buy it for would be the solo to awake and alive. Maybe someday I’ll get it just because I like the band

  6. I’m a Christian. I don’t see what that has to do with this. I wont get this because I don’t like it. I like what I like. Being Christian and being in a band doesn’t make it Christian rock.

    1. I’m not an expert on skillet, but I guess it’s because their lyrics are mainly about jesus, about god, and about being a christian.

“Who’s gonna fight for the weak
      Who’s gonna make ’em believe
      I’ve got a Hero!
      I’ve got a Hero!
      Livin’ in me!”

  7. I was expecting this to be terrible but it’s really not. I am not religious and I expected their music to be forcing religion down my throat but it’s not. It’s just what the music means to you just like any other song by any other band. A song could mean a million different things to a million different people. I will probably pick this up. Rocksmith has offered far worst DLCs.

    1. Normally Christian bands who don’t play churches on Sunday try to have some mainstream appeal. This is because their goal isn’t to convert, it’s to sell CDs.

    2. It’s not forcing jesus down your throat, it is boring pap-cack. If you like it, good on you…or is it, jesus-goo on you? Either way, it is messy and not entirely original. It is like American Idol decided to blast your face. Cool if that is your thing.

  8. I just got my first 5 string today. Looks like I’ll get a chance to find out if I’m smart enough to use it with rocksmith charts this week, lol.

    1. A 5 string’s lowest note is B (5th string played open). To make it work for the song in drop C you’ll have to tune the 5th string down a step so you’re in drop A and toss a capo on the second fret to effectively make it drop C. Third fret for the drop Db song and 4th for the Drop D. You’re honestly better off using a 4 string, at least for those 2 songs.

      1. I play with extra light strings mostly and the E just feels too “floppy” to me when tuned to D or lower on my four string basses. I think I follow what you’re saying but I was hoping to just be able to play the drop D & C songs in standard tuning and figure out a strategy as to which string (E or B) to use (where applicable) on a song per song basis (eventually, lol). Thanks 🙂

      2. However today I learned that I’ll just be happy when I’m able to play a song in E standard on the five string and NOT strike an open B at least once per song when RS asks for an open E. Lol xD

    1. nu metal brah! seriously though, I wonder what my friends who like megadeth and slipknot would say if I showed them this and told them it was metal. 😛

      1. and that’s no slight to fans of the band, just the “nu metal” tag. It is yet another ambiguous music category label that misrepresents the music.

      2. Not nu-metal. Even that sad garbage is better than this fucktarded 3 chord garbage. I understand the need to diversify, but christian “rock”? Login “faith” in this DLC process. Seriously? Why not throw some fucking striper at us, eh? At least they tried. These fucking yokels are just leaching off of the reprehensible popularity of this awkward “sound”. Fuck sake, I’ll take fallout boy over this crap.

        Cute move, assholes.

  9. On the topic of Christian rock, how about Collective Souls – “December” groovy 90s tune with some cool arpeggios

  10. the horned emogi cracked me up. “monster” is a definite NO buy for me. Im not gonna tune to drop C to play only power chords and octaves of a band im not into. Ill wait for the charts on the other. Elliot, we need a “maybe one song” voting option

  11. I died on the cross for you Skillet and that’s that best ya got but don’t worry better dlc is on the way or I will return
