This week’s Rocksmith DLC comes from our fave New Jersey bro’s. No, it’s not The Situation and Pauly D, it’s @MCROfficial!

Bringing the total of My Chemical Romance songs to eight we have three more songs from 2006’sThe Black Parade (Dead!, Teenagers, Famous Last Words), and two tracks from 2004’s Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge (Helena, I’m Not Okay (I Promise).

  1. Thanks for posting the bass play through videos. “Teenagers” looks kinda fun. The rest seem ok if you want to see how perfect you can get your timing on score attack if you’re really bored. Not my genre, lol

  2. And the trend continues…

I don’t have many complaints about this software and this has nothing to do with MCR and their music but this is like the 6th or 7th repeat artist or collection since late last year and it’s only February…

Seriously wtf is the point of getting to Kiss song pack #10 when they already have agreements in place and could easily develop actual Artist or genre specific expansions like the controller based games do??

  3. Heck, I even played the No Doubt pack. If you want to broaden your skills, no songs should be off limits. Bach pack has helped me with my picking too.

  4. What is required to get the original RS downloads onto RS2014 on PS3 format. Apparently I’m missing out on alot of previously released music…

    1. Buy them. Download them. Play them. Should be as simple as that.

      A couple of caveats though:
You need to buy them through the PlayStation store – the in-game shop doesn’t have them.
Make sure you are buying the PS3 or PS3/PS4 crossbuy version.

  5. The only song I havent played yet is Helena, because I was never a huge fan of it and it doesnt sound as fun on lead, but the rest are really a blast to play! Famous last words has this verse of just squeelies which will be great for improving that technique! apart for that, the riffs are fun and rewarding and solos will take some time to play smoothly.

don’t love MCR, don’t hate them, but this pack is fantastic! will reccomend to any lead guitarists!

    1. you only pkay your guitar when rocksmith releases music you like? shows how devoted to learning music you are. Can’t blame rocksmith for not playing bud.

btw, I challenge you to buy this pack and tell me its not fun to play on lead..

    1. A couple of the songs show up on the website but not all of them. Not sure if you can get them there and install on your console.

  6. I love thank you for the venom, it should have been there instead of teenagers (i loathe that song with a burning passion). There should have been 3 Or 4 songs from three cheers (mcr’s best album imo) and the rest from black parade.

  7. Awesome downloading tonight. Incubus pack two! My favorite band. Would be awesome to have a 5 pack from them too!

  8. Februarys DLC started off bad and ended worse … So it can’t get much worse in March, but we are talking about Ubisoft!

    1. Wow. At first you were just that one old guy in TRR that complained about everything. Now you’re really fucking annoying.

  9. Rocksmith really needs to hire people with a less myopic understanding of music — even that falling under the rubric of “rock.” Not only is this more of the same shite….it seems we’re getting more and more regurgitated m.o.t.s.s.. We can submit requests til the cows come home, but it won’t make a damn bit of difference until those making the decisions step out of their bubble. Until then, I can hold out hope for things “Hamilton” to increase popular demand (for a B-way or JCSuperstar pack for example) or just keep doing it on my own. 😐

  10. Im pleasantly surprised by the preview. Helena is the only one im not crazy about (mostly octaves) but since I like the rest, Ill just get the whole pack.

  11. I totally called of these songs. But I thought that instead of famous last words they’d put The Ghost of You. But now I’m 100% glad they chose what they did. For once I’m not like “ehhhhhhhhh they should have put this song instead of this one”

    1. this was my concern, but if you watch through the previews above there is a lot more going on (aside from Helana) than octave runs. There is a surprising amount of blues licks fused in.
