Today’s Rocksmith 2014 DLC is sure to ruffle a few feathers. With selections from their albums Homesick and What Separates Me From You, this week’s DLC is all about A Day To Remember!
A Day to Remember is an American rock[3] band from Ocala[4] , Florida, founded in 2003 by guitarist Tom Denney[5] and drummer Bobby Scruggs. They are mainly known for their unusual amalgamation of metalcore[6](Killswitch Engage[7] , As I Lay Dying[8] ), and pop punk[9] (Blink-182[10] , New Found Glory[11] ) as a musical style. The band consists of vocalist Jeremy McKinnon[12] , rhythm guitarist and backing vocalist Neil Westfall, bassist Joshua Woodard, percussion and drummer Alex Shelnutt and lead guitarist Kevin Skaff.

It is empty of bass for most of the song, but that doesn’t mean you can’t write something new in the empty spots, heh
True. Although it’s also cool when they just transcribe the vocal track, like with Bohemian Rhapsody. Gives you something to do when you aren’t improvising. Transcribing this band’s vocals to bass result in an interesting product, though, to say the least.
Just gotta say, the tones on these songs are spectacular, especially Downfall. There have been some serious misses when it comes to some of the tones that have come with DLC and I was really hoping they wouldn’t mess these up. The songs are super fun to play even if you aren’t a fan of ADTR, with If It Means A Lot To You being your “free song” for sure, especially if you’re a bassist. I know I’m definitely gonna be playing it at open mic next chance I get.

if you have any real appreciation for music you will stop your bitching about what dlc is released at least they are still putting songs out and besides if you truly like music youll learn to overcome your obsession with one type of music. sure everone has a prefered style but if you apreciate music truly you see that at least every band they have put songs on rocksmith has made it that far every time i get on here i see people always asking for metallica or led zepplin. those are both good bands but so is adtr and flyleaf, heart, rise against, system of a down, every band they put on here is a great band and the musicians behind the music all have talent so please stop bitching and just play the guitar.
The previews didn’t pique my interest so I’m getting no new DLC this week. I hope next week fares better.

While I don’t like this band (i.e., I’m old) other people seem really excited so I’m happy. I’d rather a divisive DLC come out then something nobody likes. Also, if this DLC inspires some people to actually pick up a guitar and try it out then that’s a win for the entire community.
Rocksmith has new DLC every week and musicians are extremely fickle so there is no way they can make everyone happy all the time. I’ll be skipping the DLC this week, but at least I have a lot of other songs to learn and play already.

All Signs Point To Ft. Lauderdale is fun. I prefer the RS lead of Downfall of Us All to the Bandfuse one. I was seriously looking to pickup a copy of BF the week before the recent death… I’ll wait til I find it in a bargain bin.
I’m surprised RS didn’t throw in at least one really heavy song. This is certainly a radio-friendly batch of ADTR.
Also, I’m not at all surprised to see no songs off their new album (which they self released) since they have an ongoing lawsuit with Victory Records. Seeing the Reddit AMA “kind of confirmed” that the band didn’t know their songs were being licensed. Victory will do just about anything to make a buck.

I’m more annoyed at the drop C tunings then the band. I have enough trouble getting drop d songs registering my notes.
