This week’s DLC features some highly requested classic Blues artists! If you ever played @FSGStudio’s DJ Hero you will probably recognize Bobby “Blue” Bland’s Ain’t No Love In The Heart Of The City, @OsagaTheGreat nailed the prediction on Freddie King, but just picked the wrong song (that’s okay Oscar), Howlin’ Wolf being included in a music game before Led Zeppelin is quite delicious, I only wish it was Killing Floor instead 😉 John Lee Hooker brings the delta blues to Rocksmith 2014, and to wrap it up Johnny Winter brings a flurry of notes for you to deal with on Be Careful With A Fool.

This is an awesome pack! A proper addition to a guitar game. What still makes me wonder is why this guitar game still doesn’t have any rock-n-roll from the 50s?

Hide Away and Boom Boom are really fun. It’s nice to have a little change of pace every once in a while.
Can’t wait! I’m still of the opinion that if you want to be really good at rock guitar, you should have a solid foundation of blues guitar. At least that’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. =) Mainly these just sound fun. Gotta admit I wasn’t familiar with a couple of these, but I’ll be snagging the whole pack.
So as far as blues songs for RS2014, we now have this, the Blues Brothers’ “Soul Man,” BB King’s “The Thrill is Gone,” Albert King and SRV’s “Born Under a Bad Sign,” Bill Wither’s “Ain’t No Sunshine,” Albert King’s “The Sky is Crying,” Roy Buchanan’s “Sweet Dreams,” and Gary Clark Jr’s “Bright Lights.” Did I miss anything?
Absolutely just what I needed. This is where it’s at. Love taking it back to the blues, would love it even more if RS would walk us through that evolution to rock, with a lot of Chuck Berry and the like…

This stuff may have been great in the 70’s in a Kansas City whore house with a bunch of pimps playing blackjack.. But it sucks 50 yrs later… There’s a reason you don’t even hear it on a radio station….. SUCK!!!

I hear a lot of shit on the radio, radioplay is not a sign of greatness, having to find music you like is worth the hassle. people like all kinds of music like some idiots actually like Motley Crue, which I could argue is your statement plus 10 years.

Yeah, Yeah, YEAH. Imagine Beavis dancing. That’s my feeling right now. Finally making my first DLC purchase for 2015 and it’s a good one. The biggest thrill is for that man standing next to Howlin’ Wolf. That is Mr. Hubert Sumlin. And for that reason, I would have preferred to learn the licks he laid down in Goin’ Down Slow. No worry. Just about everything from Howlin Wolf is classic.
I have requested Boom Boom. Glad to see one of mine made it. (called that one on Saturday too.)
Have never gotten into Johnny Winter. Hope this will be a good intro.

Not that I’m really complaining, I’m still absolutely going to buy this pack, and as a Blues Brothers fan, the inclusion of Boom Boom makes me just that bit more happy.
On that note, a Blues Brothers soundtrack pack would be amazing.

I love the inclusion of Bobby “Blue” Bland. This is a good start to getting more blues in Rocksmith. Hopefully we can see regular occurrences of packs like this every few months. There have been numerous “classic rock” packs, or “alternative rock” packs. Hopefully we can get more blues, metal, etc themed packs more often.
Not saying I won’t buy the whole pack though. Because I will.
I’m disappointed no SRV especially after posthumously inducted into the hall of fame.

No complaints here. I actually requested Boom Boom. Sadly I am in an 11 minute timeout while by XBox One enumerates DLC.
That makes two. I requested Boom Boom also. Guess there’s strength in numbers.
I have no complaints, I’ll be rocking these for sure. There are others I’d prefer to the Johnny Winter track and the Bobby Bland track, but they are still really good songs and sound great to play. I hope they can do another blues pack soon with more of my requests. I got 3 of the artists I requested here, that’s pretty good!
