Rocksmith 2014 DLC 9/2 – Sublime

Greetings Rocksmith fans!

As discussed in the previous article, today’s DLC is a five pack from the ska-punk LBC trio, Sublime!

The selections for the pack kind of threw me for a loop, as I never expected to see both Caress Me Down and Smoke Two Joints in a music game. Joining these two unlikely picks are the usual and suspected picks of What I Got (not the reprise version), Wrong Way (no censorship!), and Santeria.

Bassists will definitely want to check out this pack for all 5 tracks respectively and guitarists should enjoy the 5 songs as well, especially if you liked Sublime previously.

Can we have Badfish in Sublime Song Pack 02?

Sublime Song Pack – $11.99 / Steam

Are you excited for the Sublime DLC? Are you disappointed in the song picks? Let us know in the comments below.

Sometimes it sucks being an adult with a family, job, responsibilities. I got Bachsmith and Sublime and I have not had the chance to play EITHER a single note.

Wish I did my homework before purchasing, haha. Caress Me Down I could play blindfolded 1/2 way through and had never heard the song before and the version of What I Got is not the radio version most people know and love.
On the other hand, 2 Joints is awesome, Wrong Way is tons of fun and I think Santeria is my new favourite song to play. I’ve been waiting forever to learn the proper way to play it so thanks RS team! Just wish I knew about the other two songs beforehand, though. Oh well. 3/5 ain’t bad, especially when those 3 are so badass 😉

Is this the first reggae influenced music in the game because it took a while if it is? Crazy to think they added new genres lately maybe this is a trend. Next is big band music or jazz now that I’m down for

The Clash pack has a similar feel (upstroke barre chords). No Doubt pack was about a month ago and we’ve also had a 311 pack. Not necessarily reggae playing but the influence is obviously there for some songs (Spiderwebs by ND, Beautiful Disaster and Amber by 311)

I do enjoy the bass line for Santeria. I tried a few of the others and the bass is rather simplistic. I’ll reserve those songs for guitar as they are pretty fun for that. Can’t complain! Been a wealth of fantastic bass-happy songs of late.

Overall, a solid pack. Never was a big Sublime fan, but I do enjoy their music from time to time (summer music). 🙂

For sure, these are the most fun bass lines released yet. I LOVE the bass line for Wrong Way, and Caress Me Down is a very close second. Smoke 2 Joints is a fun Drop D song. And of course, you have the classic Sublime favorites, Santeria and What I Got.

This is a must buy guys, guitar and bass. Don’t even think about it, go and buy the full pack now!

Maybe we’ll get some more Spanish-language artists or reggae artists soon!

You mean their three albums, right? That’s not even including the one they put out as Sublime with Rome.

Hopefully now more great bands will figure out Rocksmith is a great way to reach other cultures and will stop dragging their feet.

Awesome pack!

As much as I would enjoy a Sublime Pack 02, I’d still rather have RHCP Pack 01!

I’m crossing my fingers that it is on it’s way! My bank account is crying, but I love this game and the practice that I get! 😀

Looking at the pack, it’s the only five Sublime songs I actually hear on the radio. I’m not surprised, but I’m still happy about this.
On a side note, we should start requesting for the absolutey necessary Sublime Pack 02.

Definite buy for me, in my humblest of opinion Sublime didn’t do a bad track. What I Got, Santeria and Wrong Way were obvious choices. Smoke 2 Joints and Caress Me Down surprise additions. If the pack was up to me I would have chosen Ebin and Same in the End instead of Wrong Way and Caress, because there are no real examples of Sublimes faster tracks. If I was in charge at Ubi I would have just tracked 40oz, Sublime and Robin the Hood in their entirety….”Punk Rock changed my life”

Isn’t that a D Boon quote? that song is one of the most perfect songs ever, nobody can ever do it justice.

As much as I LOVE sublime, I am a little disappointed in the song choices. They have others that would be waaay more fun and unique. My picks would be: Ebin, Date Rape, Badfish, Santeria and What I got. Still gonna get this though. Bachsmith better be the right price too!

What do you mean by wrong version of What I Got? Also, I’m sure feminists won’t be happy that tits is not censored in Wrong Way.

I think he means he wants the reprise version from the end of the album, not the regular version
