Rocksmith 2014 DLC for 2/9/2016 – Valentine’s Day Song Pack

GetCDNContent

Happy Valentine’s Day Rocksmith fans!

This week’s DLC brings us four love filled songs from the 80s and 90s. Kicking off the pack, we have two returning favourites from the Yacht Rock week. From Hall & Oates‘ 1980 album Voices we have the classic You Make My Dreams (could that possibly count as some dreams?) Next up, from 1982’s Toto IV, we have the great Toto hit Rosanna! Moving forward to 1994, we have the rhythm game debuting Sister Hazel with a tune from their 1997 album …Somewhere More Familiar: All for You. Finally, from their 1998 self-titled album, Sixpence None the Richer‘s teen movie staple Kiss Me.

Almost all songs are in E Standard, although Kiss Me and All for You require a capo for play, so be aware of that when you buy it. The bass on All for You is also in Eb Standard.

  1. This turned out to be a much better pack then I expected, especially with toto and sister hazel song. Looks like another variety pack next week, bring em on 🙂

    1. I agree. I didn’t remember “rosanna” had that funky bit there at the end but I liked it. (yes, I know its only rock n roll)

  2. I’mma be honest. I like hearing all of these songs. Although I’m not interested in learning to play them, that Hall & Oats is calling. (Not easy to let their music go)

Really wish they could have found a way to get something from the islands in on this. “No Woman No Cry”, especially in honor of Tuff Gongs B-day.

  3. I don’t quite get the hate of this pack. Half of it is basically Yacht Rock II, and the first Yacht Rock was pretty well liked.

I think the other music is good to have as well. It’s schmaltzy, but I fervently defend the inclusion of these songs in Rocksmith.

I think the Sister Hazel is a nod to Blues Traveler and Dave Matthews, and that genre of 90s college music is underrepresented, too.

And, I like the guitar parts in the Sixpence song, even if the lyrics are saccharine. It’s jangly guitar, which is also underrepresented.

(Yes, I also would like Golden Earring. I have requested that, too.)

    1. Pretty shocked that people can be so abrasive towards a pack featuring Toto and H&O…

Also, I’m looking into why nobody can comment on this article. There’s a bunch of dumb stuff with WordPress lately to be honest

  4. Writing shit on a work computer is my issue. See I can hide it if I write $h1t or tw@t instead of shit or twat. You are kind of being a penis head, i.e. dickhead, about it. What does it concern you what I write as long it conveys my meaning.

  5. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO 😯 ooooo 🙁

  6. Toto! The saving grace of this pack. The Hall and Oates track is not too bad for nostalgia value, but I don’t think I’d pay to play it. The other two, less said the better.

  7. Rosanna is a good track, the rest is soppy simple piss weak dribble, I totally agree that radar love should have made the list, I may have paid money for that, beware those who buy will begin lactating

    1. This is accurate, which would mean two songs require a capo in this pack…

Time to grab a pencil and some rubber bands…

  8. Funny how opinions differ.

I was really excited by the Sixpence announcement. It’s a lovely piece of jingly pop strumming and I was hoping for much from the pack!!

Then i see the other tracks and it’s not great for me. Still I will buy the announcement song and not worry too much.

Would love to see more jingly jangly guitar songs in the future though.

Lightning Seeds, The Sunday’s, Lush and maybe The Las!!!

  9. I had low expectations with the Sixpence confirmation, but the rest of the pack is great. Hall & Oates +1! Definitely not a pack purchase this week, thanks Sixpence. None is richer for you being in the pack.

  10. Ok seriously all of you saying that a pack with Rosanna is a shit pack needs to reevaluate their view of music because regardless of your preference in genre, Rosanna is a quintessential and founding basis of much of modern rock as we know it. I will fight you all on this.

    1. Quintessential and founding basis of modern rock…really? Hold the line is the shit, Rosanna is a shit song in an otherwise decent pack. Lucky you get a free song when you buy the pack.

  11. I had higher hopes for this pack. These are total $h!t songs. Joan Jetts I hate myself for loving you or Golden Earrings Radar Love would have been totally better. These songs were $H1T when first released.

    1. Why are you afraid of writing shit? Your opinions are your own, but fuck it the fact that you have to obscure your swearing makes you look like a massive twat.
