Hello Rocksmith fans!

It’s been awhile since we last spoke, but today we have some big news…

That’s right, we finally have a release date, and it’s a WEEK away!

In addition to announcing the release for PC this afternoon, there’s also a contest to enter where they are giving away FOUR guitars, including…

Tool confirmed? 🤭

They’ve also added videos to their YouTube channel

Hey Doug!

Here’s the Press Release from today, which details some of the artists in the 5000+ song library (emphasis mine)

Grab your electric, acoustic, or bass guitar and get ready to improve your skills by playing along with your favorite songs in Rocksmith+, coming to PC exclusively through the Ubisoft Store on September 6. The new subscription service will have the largest catalog of official songs ever offered in a music learning service, and will be regularly adding songs with millions more to come through partnerships with famed labels such as Sony and Universal. At launch, over 5,000 songs across multiple genres will be available from a variety of artists including The Clash, Juan Gabriel, Eurythmics, Cake, Muddy Waters, Natalia Lafourcade, Alicia Keys, Boston, Martinho Da Vila, Peter Tosh, Santana, Van Morrison, and many more.

Plus, if you’ve played Rocksmith before or took part in the Rocksmith+ PC Closed Beta, you can unlock an exclusive loyalty offer at launch: get 1-month free when you subscribe for three months, or 3-months free when you subscribe for a year. Most PC users can access Rocksmith+, and you can check out the PC minimum and recommended system requirements here.

Developed by Ubisoft San Francisco, Rocksmith+ gives you access to the Rocksmith guitar-learning method, which is built on 10 years of successful music teaching experience and has helped over 5 million people learn to play guitar.* Take advantage of features like real-time feedback, which continuously tracks and analyzes your performance while providing instant recommendations, and a suite of practice tools that you control, such as Riff Repeater, Adaptive Difficulty, and more.

You can connect** any electric, acoustic, or bass guitar to your PC with the Rocksmith Real Tone Cable or with the free Rocksmith+ Connect mobile app, which has phone-as-mic technology that uses the on-board microphone to track your playing with no additional gear needed.

From now until September 6 at 9:00AM PT, Rocksmith+ and the Ubisoft Store are offering a chance to win a signature Gibson or Epiphone guitar! You can enter the contest once a day for more chances to win, and winners will be notified by email. To enter, learn more about the prizes, and to read the complete rules, visit https://ubi.li/pyz6T.

Rocksmith+ offers 1-month, 3-month and 12-month subscription options, which you can purchase through the Ubisoft Store. In addition to PC, Rocksmith+ will be available later this fall on mobile. For more on Rocksmith+, check out the official site and stay tuned to the Ubisoft News Hub.

*5 million copies of Rocksmith and Rocksmith 2014 sold.

**Connection equipment not included. More information at rocksmith.com/info.

So there you have it, we have a release date (for PC) and a few other things to look at… Are you excited to get back into Rocksmith+ or are you going to wait and see how things look in a few months? Let us know!

UPDATE:

Ubisoft has launched their song library page but as you expected it’s hiding some content (region specific, that is), thankfully you have us to fix that in a not so pretty but good for now kind of way
