Welcome to another mixed bag as we dive into Variety Pack VIII!
This week as previously revealed features singles from @KasabianHQ (Underdog), and the returning Steppenwolf with their acid-rock hit Magic Carpet Ride. Revealed today are two new artists to the fast approaching 1000 song Rocksmith library, @Candlebox’s Far Behind, and @TearsForFears Everybody Wants to Rule The World (Xbox AU).
Funny story about Candlebox, they were almost in Guitar Hero DLC in 2010, at least we think it almost happened…

Far behind defiantly
I’ll have to pick up the Steppenwolf just for that awesome bass solo. I’ve been hoping for more good bass solos.
When I hear Candlebox, I think of this:
Wow, 990 songs. I’m afraid to go back and figure out just how much money I’ve spent on RS.
A maybe weird question. Has anyone else’s game gone insane recently? My guitar volume just will not take. It doesn’t have active pickups so that’s not it. I go into the tuner and it tells me my guitar volume has changed and asks if I want to restore to default. OK. Tune again. Repeat. Over and over. Switch to my active pickup guitar, same thing. Switch to a third guitar, same again. I had to give up for the day and see what I could find out. Any ideas?
maybe you need to recalibrate? on pc you press [space] in the tuning menu, i dont know about other platforms
In calibration is where it’s telling me about the volume of the instrument.

Well, I suggested Far Behind a long time ago… and it looks like they delivered. I am happy about this.
When you’re Born TO Be Wild, The Magic Carpet Ride is a given. I’ll see what the play through a reveal beyond that.
I say I won’t get anything, but that Tears for Fears song is one that will probably hypnotize me into buying. (My word if they had paired this with Head Over Heels and Shout, resistance would be futile.)
While this is over all a good pack, I’m going to take a pass. Ubisoft has been beating up my wallet pretty heavily since October. (additionally, there are some things I don’t miss about the 90s.)

awesome, me too. i requested that particular song! yet to see anything by Huey Lewis and The News yet, though, i requested a song by them, too (i think it was “Heart & Soul”)
I requested that one too along with about 5 or 6 others.
It’s so cool to see candlebox they were one of the lesser known Seattle bands but that first album was really good. Rest of pack is good too

Im looking forward to the Candlebox song, maybe Steppenwolf but thats about it .
I usually change the station when Candlebox comes on the radio. I will avoid the pack just so I won’t have to hear the snippet played when cycling through songs. I will pick up the Steppenwolf and possibly the Tears for Fears track. I almost guessed “Everybody Wants…” for the 80’s pack a couple weeks ago.
