Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter hints at March DLC

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Damn @DanAmrich is back at it again with the cryptic clues.

Ok, well two of them aren’t very cryptic…

“A trip to the movies!”

It’s the most controversial DLC yet, Rocksmith Goes To The Movies!

“Women who rock”

Ok, well before we get to this clue maybe we should see what the next DLC date is.

Tuesday, March 8th, 2016

Hopefully a five pack of awesome singles from women artists. Here’s a few picks from the staff.

This isn’t the first time we got a release of all women leads (coincidentally also the second week of March).

“Something shiny”

Ok, first off it’s not going to be Pink Floyd, so push that thought out of your head. What could Dan be referring to though?

Pearls are shiny right?

What do you think is in store for March, 2016? Do those hints excite you? Let us know!

  1. I noticed a couple of 90s songs up there. Why do I now have the uneasy feeling that 4Non-Blondes are on the way?

  2. I am hoping for the Runaways, Joan Jett, Heart, Lita Ford, and some more Pat Benetar. Women can rock.

    1. I wouldnt mind some more Pat B. myself, but it is actually the talented Neil Giraldo that handles the guitar on her music.

  3. No one mentioned the Bangles. I have a feeling I am alone in wishing for “Walk Like an Egyptian” 🙁

Edit: Yes, I requested it a long time ago.

  4. More from Earlyrise would be cool. Wasteland is probably my most played track. Silversun Pickups would fit both shiney and has a talented female bassist. Both of these bands I now adore thanks to rocksmith.

  5. Not falling for the banana in the tailpipe. Not falling for the Pearl Jam trick again. When we had the clue about the stone a few months back, I thought it would have been Pearl Jam (Stone Gossard). I don’t think something shiny will go towards Pearl Jam.

For women who rock, there are 2 songs that I feel are essential for any introduction to rock, a music game, or simply just guitar based music. 1) Johnny B Goode, 2) I Love Rocky Road…….. uh… Rock N Roll. Bring on Joan Jett.

Also, since Ubisoft has been piece-mealing it together, I’d say it’s about time for the last of the main tracks from Heart–Magic Man

  6. I bet Take It Off by The Donnas will be one of the choices from women who rock. I hope it is anyway.

    1. While I’m thinking about it, Weatherman by Dead Sara will likely be another choice in that pack.

        1. I never knew. That’s too bad. I like that song, and I’d still get it, but RS tends to pick songs with more typical tunings. Probably means chances aren’t great for getting Weatherman. :/

  7. Warlock All we Are by Doro Pesch would be a dream with pat benatar, lita ford , Joan Jett, heart magic man..!! That i will bow each morning, promote rocksmith 2h/day/week , pray the divine game and workers before and after every rocksmith sessions and maybe jack myself off each time i play the game *** only its a 5/5 , like winning the powerball…. Nah the complete inverse but like lottery theyve got a chance ***

  8. They say shiny in the show Firefly. Owl City did a song called Fireflies. Owl City’s song will be in Rocksmith. It doesn’t feature guitar, but that’s sound logic, right?

  9. Deftones have a new album so maybe diamond eyes.

Silverchair, pearl jam and shinedown all have at least a song in the game and are shiny

      1. Would totally take more Silverchair. They have a good amount of great guitar work on their later albums

  10. Women who rock – ALABAMA SHAKES! Holy crap when I posted my comment on that Gender thread I knew nothing about them but I’ve bought and listened to both albums and now I say I’m deep in Alabama Shakes bliss. (Future People, Heartbreaker, Don’t Wanna Fight, Rise To The Sun, Gimme All Your Love)

Shiny – This could mean a lot of things:

The Glow PT.2 – The Microphones

Thom Yorke – Truth Ray (?)

Pink Floyd – Shine On You Crazy Diamond (hah, as if this would happen)

Spiritualized – Shine A Light (please please please please please)

    Collective Soul – Shine

  11. Fingers crossed for old shinedown, other than that and Tracy Chapman no thanks, so over 3 power chord wonders

  12. Shinedown? That would be cool. More Deftones with Diamond Eyes(which could also be Shinedown…)
