Speculation: Rocksmith Newsletter hints at May 2018 DLC

Hello Rocksmith fans!

We got the newsletter, and with it comes three out of five hints for what awaits us this month for Rocksmith Remastered DLC!

Let’s see what @DanAmrich and @UbisoftStudioSF are hinting at for May shall we?

Let’s take care of the easy one first…

a sudden vision

The @KTTunstall pack comes next week!

Some seriously heavy music

Slipknot has been on the Top 40 request list for quite sometime, could this be the month they finally get content in the game?

Or is this perhaps the time when we get some Norwegian Black Metal in Rocksmith finally?

Or maybe Can You Feel My Heart sold well enough to get a full song pack

Or we could hope it’s Phish again…

Or it’s Gojira

an excess of a very precious resource

This is the best theory so far

This would be cool as well!

What do you think @UbisoftStudioSF and @Rocksmithgame are hinting at this month? Do these hints excite you? Let us know!

  1. If there is one song about precious resources I wish this was referring to it would be Diamond Mine by Blue Rodeo – there is no way that’s the pack but it would be EPIC eh

  2. Slipknot must have terrible management or a terrible record label. Stone Sour is already in the game, which proves that Corey Taylor is on board with the whole thing, so it can only be the other parties that must be holding back this deal

    1. The rights to “Through Glass” might be controlled entirely by powers outside the band. And although Stoned Sour also shares Jim Root as a member with Slipknot that is still only two of the Nine. Additionally, with a greater number of members to split royalties there is less incentive for individual profit.

  3. So I’m ready to run with a combination of ideas/thoughts here. Follow now. In 2018 Ubisoft appears to be on a mission to remind us of the important contributions by women in music. While I patiently await the arrival of Koko Taylor, Pat Benetar, Lauryn Hill/The Fugees, more No Doubt and more Heart, I have an idea one of the clues for May leads in another direction.

“…an excess of a very precious resource.” I’m in the Bay Area, which is where, I believe, Ubisoft is located. Space is a very precious resource. There’s not much of it here. Additionally, with political climate in America over the past couple of years, Love is another resource that has been in short supply.

We need “More Love” and could use more “Wide Open Spaces.” –> The Dixie Chicks.

Sorry for “Taking The Long Way Around” to get to that answer. I’m sure at least someone out there understands.

  4. seriously heavy music:
i would love to see a perfect circle pack. and how about megadeth 3 in 2018, it isn’t too soon, right?

  5. Really hoping for Gojira. I’ve requested a ton of them. This weekend marks one years since I saw them live, and they were amazing. I would love a pack from them.

  6. Would not mind Iron Maiden-Wasted Years for “an excess of a very precious resource”, you have the line “too much time on my hands…” in that song

    1. A new Iron Maiden pack would be absolutely incredible – some of the most fun bass charts in the game so far I’m also looking for any possible clue that lines up with this happening, no matter how tentative 🙂 So I feel ya.

  7. Breaking Benjamin is not heavy enought, no? Jajaja this is my dream, BB DLC2, the new disc is so heavy, but I don’t think it’s them.
Slipknot is a nice possibility, and Bring Me The Horizon could be a interesting option. System of a Down or Rammstein…

    1. I’m down for all of these. BMTH would be fun, as long as they don’t do the weird tuning like they did in the single we have now.

      1. I’m totally agree with that. I would have liked that in the song of BMTH they had put an alternative tuning in the original tuning. I love the low tunings!
