Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with Rocksmith 2014!

Well, hello there Rocksmith fans!

Today’s clue has been posted and deciphered and it looks like a very appropriate DLC for next Tuesday!

This afternoon @DanAmrich posted the following:

The mathematical solution ended up being -3252234 which unlocked the image within the image which left us with this:

Anyone know Gaelic?

Well thankfully the forum members did and we ended up figuring out this will be a 5 Pack of Singles. Yes, that’s right five songs from different artists sold together as a pack!

  • Zombie – The Cranberries (té an téama céanna d’aois ó naoi déag sé déag – “It’s the same old theme since 1916.”)
  • I’m Shipping Up to Boston – Dropkick Murphys (dreapadh suas na seolta is fearr – “Climbing up the top sails”)
  • Becoming a Jackal – Villagers (go bhfuil áit a dtéann an aisling – “Cause that’s where the dream goes.”)
  • Alternate Ulster – Stiff Little Fingers (Athrú do thalamh dúchais – “Alter your native land”)
  • Drunken Lullabies – Flogging Molly (Beidh buille lasair le fáil nua – “Shall beat a new found flame”)

Confirmed by @DanAmrich

Finally, Zombie in a guitar game!

Hiding my disappointment that this isn’t Suspect Device

So there you have it, some holiday themed DLC for next week. Are you excited for the tracks announced or do you hate the taste of Guinness? Let us know and be sure to come back to find out the tunings and arrangements next week!

  1. This pack, and Biffy Clyro, are now are Irish rockers for tomorrow! If only we got U2…

That being said, I’m still in Jeff Buckley mood, and Becoming a Jackal is my choice with this pack.

  2. if you like drunken lullabies then u,d like a lot of French songs from Quebec Canada. We’ve got a lot of artist who got that that kind of song.

  3. I find reggea and a lot ofmodern Irish songs eerily similar in the way how they repeatedly abuse well-known, almost cliche-esque musical elements. I find them not just boring, but even annoying. Dropkick Murphies and Floggin Molly are therefore massively out of the question for me.

Stiff Little Fingers will probably also be a skip, generic punk music is not my thing. Villagers – I will wait for the charts, the song is okay, but I will not pick it up unless I can learn something and pull some enjoyment out of it. Cranberries – Zombie is an instant pickup, that is a great classic and I need to have it in my library.

  4. Farging bastages. I like Zombie and I’d rather have Bloody Sunday from Stiff Little Fingers but the Irish punk crap I detest and I never complained about DLC.

    Looking forward to Easter pack.

  5. Hmmm…..

    January 2015: classic riff singles
    February 2015: Power ballads singles
    March 2015: Irish singles (?)

I’m starting to see a pattern here.

  6. Finally a pack of different songs, it should’ve been done a long time ago. Even with Dio and others, still should make them available as packs and not only individual songs as long as they release it in one go.

  7. Excellent!! Love this! One gap in the playlist is filled now!
Next gap to be filled is Irish traditionals

  8. Not bad. Not blowing my socks off either.

Pogues, Tossers, Blaggards… Plenty of music from this genre I would prefer. Even better songs by these artists (yes, already requested).

But that’s just me, never happy with the awesome work done by RS to get us new content each week (thanks guys!).

    I’m just stoked it’s not emo/nü-metal, amiright ? 😉

  9. Ick… Zombie is horrible, I’m assuming those that are happy about that are not old enough to remember it coming out or were not playing at the time cause this song is aweful and pretty boring to play, may get some of the others though

  10. Yes, Thin Lizzy would have been cool/perfect. However, these songs are great choices for this holiday, and Thin Lizzy will be a welcome addition any time! No holiday needed!

  11. This is awesome. I guess I should try these before going out Tuesday and drinking my face off with Irish car bombs as opposed to when I get home later that night lol

  12. Flogging Molly’s worth the price of admission for me! Pretty cool that they finally got permission for another pack of singles.

  13. Drunken Lullabies should be fun. Probably will skip the rest. Still, I think it’s cool when Ubisoft does holiday packs. Looks like I have to keep waiting for The Boys Are Back In Town though. Damn…

  14. So for halloween no Slayer, Misfits, or any band really halloween related but for st.patrick’s day they’ll do irish bands? Without Thin Lizzy?

    1. 10/28 DLC was The Killers. Get it? Halloween, The Killers.

Also FWIW, 11/4 DLC was Killswitch Engage. Two “Kill-” bands the Tuesday before and after Halloween.

While I agree, Slayer, Misfits, Slipknot (because they were masks) would’ve been more appropriate but hey, the Killers thing is kind of pun-ny.

EDIT: and yeah, no Thin Lizzy is disappointing but I’m just thankful it wasn’t a U2 pack.

      1. Slayer, Misfits, Alice Cooper, Black Sabbath, White Zombie, GWAR, KISS, Slipknot.

Expecting something from one or more of these bands next Halloween…
