Ok, well it’s not a 5 Pack like we hoped but today’s Rocksmith 2014 DLC is certainly the right three songs from Boston!

A new addition to the music game spectrum, it’s Don’t Look Back the titled track off their 1978 Album, the incredibly epic cosmic guitar and bass journey of Foreplay/Long Time, and finally the climactic arpeggio driven, monster solo delivering, Hitch a Ride.

One thing that has been pointed out since the DLC’s release, is Hitch a Ride has been pitch shifted to E Standard. As far as we know, the song was originally played a half step up (F-A#-D#-G#-C-F). Does something like this impact your purchase, or would you rather not tune that high? Let us know in the comments below!

  1. Yo realmente estoy en espera de alguna buena noticia de los Arctic Monkeys, Paramore, The Shins, Gold Motel, Tom Petty, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, White Sprites-Jack White-Racounteurs, Alice Cooper…. :/. Pero, estoy completamente seguro de que llegará algo de Ramones, Mastodon, Slayer, Ratt, Def Leppard :D. Y los rumores de Depeche Mode son geniales *-*.
Si pidiera un deseo, quisiera algún pack sobre bandas del primer Rocksmith :p Blur, Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Kings Of Leon, Silversun Pickups, Stone Temple Pilots, Queens Of The Stone Age. O que liberaran todo el setlist de RS1 como DLC. Se vale soñar.

I’m really waiting for some good news from Arctic Monkeys, Paramore, The Shins, Gold Motel, Tom Petty, Nirvana, Bob Dylan, Jack White-White-Sprites Racounteurs, Alice Cooper …. :/. If to make a wish, I would like some bands of the first pack on Rocksmith: p Blur, Franz Ferdinand, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Kings Of Leon, Silversun Pickups, Stone Temple Pilots, Queens Of The Stone Age. Or that freed all the setlist of RS1 as DLC. It is worth dreaming.

  2. Just try the 3 songs, and I have to say, it is one of the best packs Rocksmith has had so far is impressive Do not look back, I should have been a 5-pack 😀 😀

  3. well while everyone’s asking for black sabbath i’ll be hoping coheed and cambria just welcome home will make me buy that pack

    1. any CoCa would rule.

been a HUGE fan for over a decade… learned their first 3 records beginning to end by ear. so good. they are like boston in the sense that every instrument is unique arrangements that fit so welllll together.

    1. Please, please, PLEASE never put Nirvana in the same sentence as those great musicians ever again. Thank you.

      -Music fans

Note: I really only don’t like Kurt Cobain. Dude sucked at singing and only got moderately good at guitar, yet he’s revered like some kind of amazing virtuoso. Enough already.

      1. Curt cobain, eric clapton, santana, jeff beck, ramones and so on, they all made rock history.
Is this sentence making you cry? No need for fuxxn teacher mode ….
And sorry because I know DLC wishes are not welcome here …. but i can’t hold this back any longer …
        😡 Slaaaaaaayeeeer 😡

        1. Just because someone made rock history doesn’t mean they were good…most of Nirvana’s songs suck. Even Nirvana fans know this. They had a couple great songs, a lot of good ones, but most were crap.

All I’m saying is that I’d rather have variety in the game. There’s already a few Nirvana songs, and as much as I’d like to see more songs show up from my favorite bands, I’d definitely prefer new artists.

On a separate note, since it appears that instead of politely arguing with me about my opinions we jumped right to derision, what about the bands that actually “started” grunge? Nirvana always unjustly gets the credit because of one hit song. It’s a fine song, and I see its importance. But how about the other bands like Green River, Mother Love Bone, Mudhoney, Pixies, etc? THEY started grunge and yet never get their deserved praise.

Now, go listen to “Tourette’s” and then tell me about how brilliant Nirvana was. Ha.

          1. I love Tourette’s !! it’s a brilliant song especially cause it’s a 4 chords song.
Music is not only about virtuosity, how many notes or chords you use, it’s a matter of feelings.. and nirvana had that special thing that turn a simple song into something great.

  4. Awesome, finally a Boston Pack, too bad its not a 5 pack. I agree with these other bands I’m seeing in the comments, Ozzy, Black Sabbath, Alter Bridge would be awesome (seeing them in concert next month btw XD) still waiting for that Def Lepard pack among others.

  5. Next time Pearl Jam 5-Song DLC! Please! Even Flow, Garden, Rearviewmirror, I am Mine, Worldwide Suicide!

  6. I’d never heard “Don’t Look Back” before but damn, I had to listen to it twice in a row, and then a third time after “Hitch a Ride”. Foreplay/Long Time is one of the best Bandfuse DLC songs so far. Buying 3/3, this is what I call real music.

  7. A definite buy for me. Yea only three songs but foreplay/long time is 7 an half minutes and don.t look back is almost 6 minutes long so plenty to go at. Lol. Now bring on alter bridge for next dlc then I.ll be in heaven.:-)
