Rocksmith 2014 DLC 9/29/2015 – Brand New

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Judging by the comments this week seems to be a controversial band, or more so a band a lot of people didn’t hear about till now.

Either way it’s a three pack from @BrandNewRock! The pack consists of three tracks off Brand New’s second album from 2003, Deja Etendu. While I would have personally loved a track off The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me, beggars can’t be choosers as they say.

  1. I have listened to their songs and never been a huge fan of this band. Not trying to put anyone down who likes it, just looking forward to next weeks release. Rush pack 2… hopefully lol

  2. Never heard of this band but, after buying and playing all the DLC for the last three weeks in one this is my favorite. I like The Doors, but this band is surprisingly good IMHO.

  3. Ok. I like Brand New. Good stuff. What is wrong with that. Very catchy sound, good singing, not sure what they said…( hope it doesn’t offend my better sensibilities when I pay attention ) Has kind of a beachy flavor with some peachy overtones. Definitely could listen to some more of them. Glad I decided to download it. Don’t know if they are a future legendary band like pearl jam or soundgarden, pink floyd..but they have a good sound. I like the chords they use…not entirely typical at all.

  4. Thanks Elliot for the info regarding my earlier post. I guess I’ll give it a shot again. I think it just glitched on me. Sounds like a license glitch per ubi site. So now I have to pick one of september’s dlcs to test it on.

  5. I was never a huge Brand New fan in years past and I only picked this up to appease my friend. I’m glad I did because they are certainly fun songs to learn. As someone who has only been playing for a few months this pack has introduced new techniques that I have yet to see in other songs. Definitely recommend to anyone even if you’ve never heard of them before.

  6. I have passed on everything since EWF…primarily since I have been having trouble downloading to both my ps3 and ps4. I really haven’t been too excited by the selections, but I wish I could find out if EWF was a glitch or if I would have to pay twice for the downloads if I want them on bpth systems. UBISOFT guys…does the cross platform policy still apply? I would be more likely to try “mediocre” stuff if I knew I could play that “mediocre” ( unknown or unfamiliar ) stuff on both systems after buying it once. Just curious.

    1. based on that logic, 2k is the max any 3 pack would ever yield. Its just a small sample size like any other poll. Theyll do fine on this one. I like it though, hope RR keeps it for all future packs

  7. I’m still on the fence about this DLC. This has been a thin month for me and RS DLC. I already passed on AAR and on Breaking Benjamin.

  8. one of the best things about this game is that it has introduced me to some artists that i never stopped to listen to like billy tallent and biffy clyro and now i will add brand new to that list.

  9. While this album was kind of the pinnacle of the end of emo, Brand New’s discography is nothing short of brilliant. This is a great addition to the game, I only wish it was a 5 or 7 or 12 song pack.
