Rocksmith kicks off November with Advanced Exercises Vol 2

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Yesterday’s stream had a familiar face at the end…

Yes, it’s the destroyer of forum clues, @StudleyGreg!

Next week’s Rocksmith DLC will close out Volume 2 of the Advanced Exercises.

You know the deal…

Hello, Rocksmith fans!

This Tuesday, November 5, will see the release of the Advanced Exercises for Volume 2. These packs originated with years-old community requests for more educational content including a focus on techniques and drills—and player feedback on the exercises continues to be great!

For this song pack, Notetracker and Rocksmith Exercise creator Greg Studley utilizes his expertise as a music educator and author in a pack that tests your mastery of the techniques included in the previous packs in the series.

With Rocksmith Advanced Exercises, Vol 2, each of the five exercises are available for guitar and bass, and the pack will again be available at the special price of $4.99 USD.

  1. This is getting REALLY tiresome. Tuesday’s used to be fun – I didn’t look at the hints, and I’m come here to see what was dropping. Some weeks it was like getting a new bike under the christmas tree and some weeks it was getting an itchy sweater your grandma knitted – but at least you knew the sweater was created with love.

These exercises are like getting broccoli for christmas, sure it’s good for me, but I don’t want to waste a present on it it.

  2. I LOVE these exercises BUT this 3 tier release is nonsense. Rocksmith has the riff repeater feature, why not just release the advanced exercises and let people adjust the difficulty as needed? Either ubi has decided people are too stupid to figure that out themselves, or that they’ll spend the money and pad ubi-pockets. I have spent A LOT of money on rocksmith, and I believe in it. But there was never an elementary/intermediate/advanced release breakdown for any artist featured, what makes this any different? Why not release a different technique set each month, instead of the same dlc chopped up over three months? Unscrupulous!

  3. I’ll put as much thought and care into my response as have gone into the vast majority of this year’s DLC offerings:

    No.

(That being said, while exercises are far better offerings than all but a few of the song/pack selections for 2019, if I want to practice ho/po, string skipping, raking, slap, or any other techniques I’ll play songs that incorporate those elements. With a couple of thousand DLC songs to choose from in the library I can usually come up with a dozen or so such songs for each element I want to practice.)
