Rocksmith Remastered DLC 10/08/2019 “Intermediate Exercises, Vol 02”

Hello Rocksmith fans!

This week’s DLC is (as you may have expected) Intermediate Exercises, Vol 02.

Hello, Rocksmith fans!

This Tuesday, October 8 will see the continuation of Volume 2 of the Rocksmith Intermediate Exercises. These packs originated with years-old community requests for more educational content including a focus on techniques and drills—and player feedback on the exercises continues to be great!

For this song pack, Notetracker and Rocksmith Exercise creator Greg Studley utilizes his expertise as a music educator and author in a pack that tests your mastery of the techniques included in the previous packs in the series.

With Rocksmith Intermediate Exercises, Vol 2, each of the five exercises are available for guitar and bass, and the pack will again be available at the special price of $4.99 USD.

Ubisoft Forums

Each of the five exercises are available for Guitar and Bass, and this pack will be available once again at the special price of $4.99 USD. Later on, look for more Rocksmith exercises from Greg for our Advanced players (My guess would be November 5th).

We can assume the pack will go a little something like this:

Intermediate Exercises Volume 01 – $4.99 / Steam

  • Linear Playing [Guitar Only]
  • Hammer-Ons/Pull-offs [Guitar Only]
  • Pull-Offs/Hammer-Ons [Guitar Only]
  • String Skipping [Guitar Only]
  • String Switching [Guitar Only]
  • Linear Playing [Bass Only]
  • Hammer-Ons/Pull-offs [Bass Only]
  • Pull-Offs/Hammer-Ons [Bass Only]
  • String Skipping [Bass Only]
  • String Switching [Bass Only]

Have you been using these exercises in your Rocksmith sessions? Are you only buying the Advanced sets? Or are you skipping every week involved with the Exercises? Let us know!

  1. It seems like some of the complainers in this thread are the same guy with different screen names.

I didn’t say “all the complainers”, I said “some of”.

  2. I like the dlc but I think they should release just the advanced set, and let people use the riff repeater to scale it down if they need to. I dont want to be a cash grab for anybody.

  3. Exercise DLCs reinforce the idea Rocksmith is a learning tool. But apparently the karaoke guitarists that know how to play from tabs or youtube videos and have not learnt from Rocksmith in the first place disagree and bitch hard about them.

    1. Yeah but RS is primarily a game and in fact isn’t a very good tool for learning songs. Compared to standard guitar tabs the way the notes are presented makes it look very cool, but even when using the riff repeater its actually pretty hard to remember what frets to play. RS is good for improving manual dexterity and finger positioning but over and above that, I use it mainly for fun and if I actually want to learn a song I use GP6

  4. It’s like Ubisoft don’t even want my money any longer. The last few weeks have been a double decker shit sandwich without any bread and with extra crispy shit for a garnish. Hope they’ve got something big planned for Xmas and New Year to make up for it!

  5. Well. I hate to say it but the end isn’t coming it’s here . It was an incredible run until this year it will be missed.

    1. Yeah, it kind of feels like this might be a red flag for how the game is doing. I hate to say it, but with all the really low budget DLC that’s come out over the last few months (the “lessons” , the YouTube stars release, the single song), this may be the death rattle of a otherwise impressive run for Rocksmith. I hope I’m wrong, but honestly from a business outlook it doesn’t bode well that there have been this many weak DLCs released in such a short period of time.

    2. Guitar Pro isn’t as nice as RS, but there’s just about any song you could wish available for it.

It’s worth taking a look at if you haven’t seen it before.

  6. Everybody reading this goto twitter and tell rocksmith we dont want this as dlc.. They are under the delusion that people are asking for this crap tell them otherwise… Nobody has downloaded these shit lessons on xbox store

    1. Yeah it’s very strange that they just started doing these now. These lesson dlcs would have made sense when the game first released but not almost 6 years later. They should have just saved this for the next game when there’s a marketing push behind it trying to bring in new players. Even people that are just now deciding to try and learn the guitar I doubt even know this game exists and if they do I doubt they are inclined to buy something with the year 2014 on it. I think at this point it’s just us die yards left that just want to play along to cool and fun songs.

      1. Stop being a bootlicker and a blind fanboy, not everything they release is good, criticism is necessary to improve, it’s not like they’re giving these ones for free.

          1. I don’t see anyone on these threads but you celebrating these diarrhea dogshit dlc packs they’ve been pumping out. This is stuff that should have come out like 5 years ago and you know it. I’ve yet to see anyone happy they put this nonsense out over actual songs.

            1. Whenever someone posts “nobody” wants this, it usually means they themselves don’t want it and the fact that other people do makes them cry for a whole week. See you next Friday, or not.
