Rocksmith Remastered DLC 5/22/2018 – Metal Mix

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Welcome to the most tr00 and kvlt DLC so far, because this week black metal ist krieg.

Over the weekend we learned that @MorbidAngelBand’s Immortal Rites (Altars of Madness – 1989) and @Testament’s Souls of Black (1990) would both be in the three pack. Today (via Xbox AU) we discovered that for the first time in a music game Darkthrone will bring Norwegian Black Metal to @Rocksmithgame with Transilvanian Hunger (1994). Hope your strumming arm is strong enough to make it through that frost bitten six minutes.

Metal Mix – $7.99 / Steam

Tune down for the Death Metal!

  1. I haven’t kept up with Rocksmith DLC in a bit but Interpol one week then Darkthrone and Morbid Angel the next week????? I’m in love.

  2. Kind of sad it’s not the redone version of Souls of Black from Rock Band. One of the few instances where the redo was better.

    Still….Testament can’t be a bad thing.

  3. Looking on the bright side, it seems like the Darkthrone track will be good for those pesky “Get a 300 note streak” missions.

  4. Glad to see testament but I won’t even try to understand the other 2. I’d much rather have some soulfly, or some other groove metal.

  5. Well mixed bag this week. I’ve already made my requests to the folks at rocksmith but i have got to say satyricon, samael, opeth, emperor, celtic frost among others (hell venom’s we are in league with satan. The fact that scared people, so funny. They are the guys with their second album named black metal for those that missed it) would have been much prefered but i guess its a step in the right direction, but I cant say i’m thrilled with the darkthrone track. Testament is the best track this week for me. Guys can we get more blues or killing joke, or just something from late 80s-early 00s roadrunner records next week? I’m kind of giving up on everything i want from the top requested list.

  6. It’s sweet that we finally get some black metal. Still hoping we get some Deafheaven in the future tho 😛

  7. all i need now is a goat and a sharp blade

can’t wait to play the Testament and Morbid tracks, but as much as i love black metal (i dont) that Darkthrone track is 4 chords and sounds like it was recorded in a bunker, totally works for the aesthetic but 6 mins of playing that wont get me chicks

finally gets a metal pack and complains
    trve kvlt

  8. As much as this type of pack has been needed for years now, I’m a little disappointed with Darkthrone. I love Thrash & Death Metal but can’t get too much into Black Metal, the most I’ve liked is some Immortal and Emperor. But to each their own I guess. For the Mixed Metal Pack II, I’m really hoping for some Strapping Young Lad & Dying Fetus (although I feel Dying Fetus won’t ever be in the game due to their name).

  9. Had to smile at the “What are they so mad about” comment. Agreed; however, growing up in the culture that gave us Black Uhuru, Buju Banton, PE, the Wu, N.W.A., John P. Kee, James Cleveland, Shirley Ceasar, RATM, GnR, Morgan Heritage, 2Pac, and the Goodie Mob, I’ve seen that question before. It’s almost like saying, “what’s wrong with you.” Someone probably said that about Weird Al.

I guess if the passion is there, someone out there understands, and you can make $$$ doing it, go for it.

  10. I can’t understand the Norwegian Black Metal xD but I have curiosity about how it sound in Rocksmith, that low sound quality will be in the guitar tone?
