Song Speculation: Lady Gaga comes to Rocksmith for You and I

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Here we are in February and we have a brand new artist coming to Rocksmith Remastered next week! It’s gonna be a fun week!

Let’s check out the fastest solved clue (that I can remember at least)…

Nope, not a GIF…

Wait, but how?

Can it be true?

It is, also for @QueenWillRock fans that is none other than Brian May on guitar

It’s a FOUR pack!

Surprise surprise, this isn’t @LadyGaga’s first appearance in music games! Rock Band alone has TEN tracks including the Eric Cartman version of Poker Face.

We haven’t covered DJ Hero in a #SetlistSunday as of yet, so we will leave it at Just Dance for the other major plastic guitar franchise…

What other three songs will join You and I in the @LadyGaga song pack?

What follows is speculation

This one would be cool, nifty solo at about 2:51

Have a feeling we are going to get the original next week

Sax-guitar?

Some heavy Queen/Oasis vibes in this one.

Maybe something a bit more recent? Also, yeah that’s Josh Homme on guitar.

Are you excited for @LadyGaga to come to Rocksmith or is this one fame monster you’d rather stay under your bed… Let us know!

    1. I recall Dr. Dre saying something like a song should hook you within the first 15 seconds. Glad to have given this one an extra 5. I like the way he just dives into it. I’m not much of a Gaga fan, although she does have a few songs I like. Definitely like this reworking of Poker Face.

  1. There are millions of pictures of Lady Gaga. Is anyone else wondering why on earth would they use that picture of her with James Hetfield (Metallica). Biggest tease in this game’s history or is it actually hinting toward something. Most likely wishful thinking, and i’m surprised no one else has mentioned it. Metallica DLC is looong overdue. Aside from that, I respect Lady Gaga as an artist, and she was awesome with Metallica, but I won’t be buying this.

      1. I think I like what you did there. Very clever. I see how that’s fun for you. btw that is an awesome picture of them together.

  2. Was highly impressed with the variety in 2017’s DLC. Sadly, at the end of 2017 I saw someone go into the Ubisoft forums and seemingly dive on Ubisoft for spreading the love to various genres. While I’m not into Gaga, I figure now’s a good time to paste this link as somewhat of a reply to the rant that I read as well as some of what I see here. There’s too much music out there to be stuck on just one thing. (please excuse the typos. I didn’t proof read it)

  3. I’ll just buy and pretend it’s more Marilyn Manson until I hear those annoying synth drums and dance beats. Why do people request this for a guitar game?

    1. I know, it’s ridiculous, one of the main points that the Rocksmith people bring up constantly is the educational value of a song; it has to have enough guitar parts to be fun to play. This is just so un-guitar based.

The real reason is likely due to the fact that parents of annoying schoolgirls that have just bought a guitar have money to spend as well

  4. I’d have to see what other songs are in the pack to see if there’s any I’d buy (probably unlikely), but I like that they are willing to take on some big pop acts as DLC. Nothing wrong with some diversity in genres. I think a Prince or Michael Jackson pack would be amazing.

    1. Oh man, you’re on something there. Good call.
Give In To Me – MJ
They Don’t Care About Us – MJ
      Let’s Go Crazy – P

  5. I must say that I was surprised to get a DLC from Lady Gaga. I do not know what to expect in terms of guitar and bass from her that I do not know her very well but I want to see what she can offer us. I love that Rocksmith is not afraid of any type of music dlc.

Maybe a DLC from a Spanish group? Supersubmarina, Carlos Sadness… I see it difficult but not impossible!

    1. Yes I’m a headbanger, yes I won’t be getting this, but no, I don’t freak out when RS releases DLC for an artist I don’t like….I just wonder where my Ozzy and Scorpions are 🙂

      1. The only good thing that I can say about this DLC is that if a large enough percentage of Rocksmith’s audience are all a bunch of airheaded pop fans and they buy this, then hopefully it’ll make Ubisoft rich enough that they can afford to pay the premium fee on all those top 40 most requested artists that everyone wants

    1. HARD pass. No problem though – so jazzed about this past week that I’ll be working on them for a while.
