Song Speculation: Rocksmith gets Wild with Cat Stevens

Hello Rocksmith fans!

April’s DLC continues (without a newsletter yet) as we received another clue from RollingStone222 revealing a new artist for the ever changing and growing Rocksmith library!

Let’s check it out.

HELLO??? MCFLY??? (It’s a GIF)

Good work Weeb!

Could it be?

It is!

It’s a THREE song pack!

To my knowledge the music of @YusufCatStevens has never appeared in a video game…

What else might we see next week join Wild World?

What follows is speculation

Another song I first heard because of a skate video

I’d be surprised if this one isn’t in…

This one could be fun

I guess Sheryl Crow didn’t write this one…

Wait a second…

Are you excited for some more Folk music to come to Rocksmith? Or are you refreshing for the newsletter to see what else might be in store this month? Let us know!

  1. This might rank up there as one of the most difficult bass packs – lol

I’ll be skipping unless the charts surprise me.

Have fun with it 6 stringers…I’ll keep waiting for another Maiden pack 🙂

  2. Another legend off the list for Rocksmith. I think this is my favorite acoustic folk artist and I cant see how they could pick bad songs but the other 2 songs I would want would probably be father and son and the wind. I cant believe hes never been in a game before. Now I’m thinking that Leonard Cohen might make it too it would only be fitting

    1. Really want Cohen’s the Future. The bass and organ work real well together with that and same tasteful guitar work. I’m Ubi will edit it though. It always annoys me when they do that. I always find regardless of if it’s material I like or not, that the censorship is worse than what ever it was that was taken out.

  3. Maybe because this song was impossible to avoid growing up but this is a song that now, just randomly pops in my head. Not sure I’d ever buy it though. Maybe after I look at the video. My best friend loves Cat Stevens & Fleetwood Mac, while I prefer Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen or the addition of more Dylan (I want, things have changed & it’s all over now baby blue). Otherwise her and I like almost all the same industrial, metal, & hard rock bands. Blues, jazz, and classic rock is where we split, I listen to more of it. But we do both like taiko drumming.

      1. I’ve actually requested it but for some reason this makes me feel like we are more likely to get Mason Williams Classical Gas. Friend of mine was in the studio for that recording. But I’m definitely in for packs from those guys. My mother (whose taste is Baffling & random) has a thing for Moonshadow since it’s above and you mention it. Elliot taps on it above but I still don’t get people thinking cats in the cradle is Cat Stevens. I’ve never thought that.

        1. I hope they’re giving you tracks for free man, cause you never miss a chance to plug something when it comes up. But if this is at me check, I said “more Dylan”, I didn’t end up with around 500 tracks just with both games. What you need to plug is people unlocking no the alternate tracks to songs. That’s a gift that just keeps on giving. Buy a new song and find out you’ve got 4 or 5 ways to play it when you thought you’d only have 3. Wonderful.
