Song Speculation: Rocksmith raises the dead to celebrate the Time of the Season

Hello Rocksmith fans!

Here we are at the final reveal of October 2019!

Looks like I guessed correctly, but let’s see how the forum solved this week’s clue from RollingStone222….

No GIF!

How’d you figure that one?

Good eye BrandonTruett

That’s a lot of data

That would match the remaining newsletter clue for sure!

It’s time for the undead

Seems like a slam dunk to me

??‍♀️??‍♂️

This is technically the second appearance of Time of the Season in a music game!

Additionally @TheZombiesMusic have had two songs in Rock Band DLC including She’s Not There and Tell Her No.

Coincidentally these are what I believe to be the two other songs in the pack ?

So there you have it, ZOMBIES for ?Halloween?! Are you excited for this 60s’s psychedelic pop/rock band to come to Rocksmith Remastered? Or were you hoping for something spookier ?? Let us know!

  1. Must have. Already requested but still waiting on Buffalo Springfield’s For What it’s Worth. A Sixties five pack?

  2. Yes! Definitely will buy. Remember groups like this playing in the 80’s in a lot of movies, tv shows and roller rinks. For all of you complaining about classics like this don’t know your history of music. Nothing you like that is new is uninfluenced by the classics.

  3. Instant buy for me. Love the 60s music. I have a feeling that from now to the end of the year will be very good for DLCs.

  4. Works for me. Might be disappointing for some RS fans who probably were hoping for something more like Death or Gwar. Wish we could get some more bluesy stuff in future packs though. Or the Eagles, ZZTop, Joe Walsh, Beatles, George Thorogood, more Stones, etc. Really wish RS would work through whatever licensing issue is preventing those bands.

While I’m wishing for stuff that’s never going to happen, I also wish that RS would fix the problem migrating songs from Xbox360 to XboxOne. I have a bunch of songs that didn’t port over and RS tech support doesn’t seem to care a bit. Anybody else buy songs on the 360 that didn’t also appear on XboxOne like they were supposed to? I’ve now bought RockSmith 2014 on three different platforms: PC, Xbox360, and XboxOne. I get why the PC DL doesn’t transfer to Xbox. But come on, the Xbox content should transfer between my different Xboxes.

I haven’t bought any new DL for a couple of months because I was waiting for this issue to get fixed. Silent protest, in essence. In retrospect, being silent wasn’t a good idea.

    1. I did want something appropriate for the season (didn’t happen, this pack should’ve been a different week), I kind of was hoping for a mix pack and to get things like Screamin’ Jay Hawkins or maybe since something’s that are Halloween standards in there Og form may not be orchestrated the best that we might get a good 5 pack from the note trackers and then it would be a cheap treat as well. But you are definitely not alone in wanting blues/blues related stuff. I could take 2 dozen more Thorogood tracks easy. I’ve got every album.

Sorry to hear they haven’t fixed you Xbox problem though. I’m on PlayStation, I have no idea what’s going on in the other system camps.

    2. I think the Xbox360 to XboxOne DLC capability is done. I too have countless attempts at conversation with UBISOFT support and Rocksmith. Other than the generic “we are working on it” response, there is absolute silence. Older DLC still ports so its not a technical issue. I think its a financial issue between them. I just wish they would say something. Id buy on the One exclusively if I knew it was over, but they have been unwilling to answer that question.

    3. You should be sure you are on the same account and with the same regional settings on the consoles..
I think you also have to buy the? 60 version, but I am not sure

      1. That’s a good suggestion, thanks for offering it. The songs transferred seamlessly for a couple of years, so the regional settings aren’t the issue.

        1. Agreed. I have successfully done this over 210 times and it stopped working on the same date it stopped working for everyone else. This is a UBISOFT/MICROSOFT issue, not on the end users. I just wish we could get some more transparency/honesty out of the RS team on this one.

          1. I plan on upgrading to Xbox one before the year ends. Are you saying none of the dlc transfers anymore or dlc released after a certain date doesn’t transfer? Thanks

  5. The classic 60s rock songs are a must I feel like we have most of them except for that one band named after an insect. I swear rocksmuth is probably behind that yesterday movie. We just need a movie named unfogiven where Metallica never existed

  6. Jump in Jesus on a pogo stick!!! Y’all actually want some more of my money, finally? That only took about 7 months.

Too bad The Outer Worlds are going to take up most of my time for the next few weeks. I’ll pick this one up when I get around to, however,, even though I love this pack I’m in no rush to buy anything for Rocksmith given the absolute shite (with a very few notable exceptions) that’s been released for DLC this year.

  7. Really? Unless there is a particular song if theirs I’m forgetting the name is all this pack has going for it. Any other time of the year and be like ok zombies pack. But Halloween? This is not appropriate. These are not in anyway Halloween songs. Regardless of if I decide to buy anything from this selection, I a mean completely disappointed and think this is 100% fail. This was super lazy (& not in a good way) as a pick. I thought they might want to pull out something fun and big considering most of the years choices. I was wrong. Some guys who put out a bunch of singles that got collected into an album or two during the age of albums and not themed for the season appropriately at all. Damn.

      1. The zombies are neither edgy or spooky. That is a fail for an argument. Lots of bands and songs are horror themed they don’t have to be specifically Halloween. Like Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. And while they have every right to add a killers pack (I don’t like them, loath would be more accurate) for the Halloween pack they are completely inappropriate & anything but perfect. Misfits was one year. Don’t like’em, won’t buy it, but I went Misfits a band that used to only preform on Halloween, that was perfect.

          1. Yeah, I was just using them as an example of a Halloween “scary” band. Nobody would expect them again so soon after the last pack. FWIW, I prefer getting the Halloween pack a few weeks before Halloween. Same with getting Christmas songs early in December. Gives me time to practice the songs and kind of get in the spirit of the season.

          2. That was in the metal pack but that’s would once again only come down to in band name only. That’s not the kind of song it is. Plus Davidian was the big winner in that pack (but that’s my all time favorite Machinehead track), they seem to pick artist packs for Halloween so of course they are hit and miss. I won’t buy the misfits but making a cult, horror themed band that used to only play on Halloween (way back when now), was a big no brainer. Despite not wanting to buy it was satisfying because it was on theme. It just wasn’t something for everyone nor should it be. This is completely of point and should’ve just been a different week. I had hopes (utterly delusion-ally) but didn’t necessarily expect it to be to my taste. But to to just not try is insulting. I mean nobody is clamoring for it but you can’t tell me they couldn’t get and or redo something like the monster mash (yeah no one asked for that but I’m fairly certain that never stopped them either), & while I do have some specific artist in mind, I really kind of hoped they would go with a mix pack and pick songs from different decades. Partially cause I thought it would be a good way to sneak in Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, or a whole pack, he did have a rather lot of songs that weren’t just “I put a spell on you”. He was a showman to say the least (he’d be brought on stage in a coffin) and was a major touchstone for most anybody doing productions and of course everyone who had a horror theme or element. Seemed like a good time to add a good talent was a huge influence but so completely overlooked. It’s like pretending there was no Iggy pop or Hendrix. Blues I really want more blues song on here anyway possible. Slim Harpo would be amazing.

    1. I agree, the bands name is the only link to Halloween and it’s a tenuous link at that. I was hoping for some Gothic Rock – Sisters of mercy or the Mission – or preferably any music that reflects the spirit of the Holiday properly.
